I really don't think it will help the X1 to outsell the PS4 or even get close to beating it. It will certainly result in more X1's being "sold" but the market for people that want to buy a Surface Pro 4 for over $900 on the Microsoft website surely isn't that huge.

Problem is MS tablets are junk.

Surface line sold a total of 6m last year. Even if everyone of them was bundled with an XBO it still loses to PS4 for the year.
On the plus side if you just flipped the XBO that's a nice saving on a new Surface Pro 4

No, I don't care about a free xbox because it comes with a device I have no interest in.

Clearly the OP meant how MS will outsell the ps4 globally in the US.

They did something similar with the Xbox 360 a few years ago. (Didn't someone here get their 360 that way? They talked about the process and when it came.)

The Surface 4 isn't just a tablet, but a super powerful PC that is probably more powerful than most PCs browsing this site. It's a pretty cool deal.

I've heard the Surface 5 is delayed, I wonder if they are using this as incentive.

Surfaces are pretty expensive so I doubt this will have much (if any) effect on Xbox sales.

Love our surface 3 (was the newest one at the time). Fantastic device all around. Beats the tar out of regular app based tablets like the ipad. I can play age of empire HD on it wooot! Lol
