Forums - Nintendo Discussion - A strong indication of NX using cartridges found.

But still a rumor.

We moved away from carts for a multitude of reasons. Why would we go back? Just to be retro?

We moved away from carts  for reasons that are becoming less relevant as time  goes by  and technology improves. Flash memory technology is getting cheaper and more efficent. Cartridge prices are getting really low.  There is no longer a major size constraint, etc. So why stick with fragile disc when cartridges have become stable again?

Cartridges...... or (flashdrive) cards ?

I think people are getting the wrong idea about this.

Aren't SD/Flash cards not very expensive to produce compared to a blu ray disc. Ultra HD blu ray discs can contain 3 layers and store 100gb. Isn't that more logical for a home console. As for the handheld an SD card would do since 16gb is plenty for a handheld game, but consolegames need at least 32gb.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Discs have evolved to, besides discs are cheaper. And ultra hd blu ray drives have a pretty decent bandwith.

Shared library is the key for the NX. Without it, the software production will become worse and worse.

Yup.  The only way Nintendo could support what's basically going to be two HD platforms with unique libraries is by only developing low budget games with short production cycles like 2D platformers and mini-game collections/party games -- kind of like what they had to do for a substantial amount of the Wii U's 1st party library.

What is this based on?

Based on that last part that you didn't bold.  You think the software output was bad on one HD platform?  Imagine if they had a second one.

Been saying that for ages now. Nintendo can't even support 1 HD platform satisfactorily, the idea that they'd be able to support two is a non-starter.

Unified library isn't an option at this point, it's a neccessity. It's either that or just dump consoles entirely for the portable.

Yasssssss its HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!
