Most overrated game by critics ever created.

Grand Theft Auto 4 was SUCH a let down. I remember anticipating that game SO much. Went to the midnight release and everything.. Was having flashes of (at the time next gen) GTA San Andreas like enjoyment but with HD graphics.. I was bored day one. The game was bland. Boring. The story was lame and boring. The lead character was annoying. No real planes. Flat boring city.

Thank goodness Rockstar redeemed themselves with GTA5.. That was the best thing I've played in a very long time.

The first GTA. Top-down view and a massive downgrade from GTA2, which I've played quite a bit.

GTAIV. They Tried to make it way too realistic, there is not much to do after the game is completed and the city is kinda boring.

4 was terribad! Turned me off of the series as I've never picked it up again, the aiming controls were just awful. So I'm gonna go with that

GTAIV simply because it was meh.  The original and the 2nd are obviously dated but still have a simplistic charm to them and are mindless fun.  And the GTAIII / Vice City / San Andreas trilogy are still the best and are still tons of fun today, with Vice City still being my fav.  GTAV was much improved over IV, but there's still plenty of room for improvement and it strays a bit too far from the series' ridiculously over-the-top roots, something that games like Saints Row still retain.

How weird.... I felt GTA IV was good.... I guess I just was not into GTA V at all..... I expected zomg graphics... and it looked like uncharted 2 but in an open world, that kind of killed the game

I played all gta games ( Gta 1,2,3,4, 4 dlc's, 5, vice city, san andreas, liberty city stories, vicy city stories, chinatown wars and gta for gameboy ) but for me Gta Vice City stories for PSP is the worst gta game i ever played.

I know what you mean. The thing is, I never played them in order. And buying it way after enjoying the second game gave a bad taste on my mouth. And I usually enjoy all GTA games.
