Forums - Gaming Discussion - Overwatch discussion thread - Christmas update is here!

The game has been amazing thus far, one of my favorites.

I'm enjoying most characters, especially hanzo. But I just can't get the hang of widowmaker (weird huh).

The balancing on PC is amazing. I'm surprised every character is playable and powerful without being op (especially after the widow and mecree nerf). I have heard that turrets on consoles are OP (due to worse aiming without a mouse and keyboard), but they already said they plan to fix it.

There is more than enough content. I've spent perhaps 10 hours on hanzo alone and that's 1 character. The has a ton of replayability and will only have more with the upcoming free dlc.

Damn, how much time you spent overall?

I'm only on about 18 hours total

I don't know. I just prestiged. Probably around 80 hours? That's just a guess, because I have 31 hours with Torb as well, but those aren't the only two I play.

Awesome, I also prestiged. Although I tend to not focus on any one character. I have less than 15 hours on any character

My main/most used characters from each class are McCree, Hanzo, Winston and Lucio... although after they nerfed McCree (Sure, he was overpowered against tanks, but now he's useless against squishies like Tracer too! They kinda' overnerfed him, and tons of people agree!) I decided to move onto Genji, and honestly, I've been having fun learning how to play him, deflecting Bastion's turret shots back and killing him instantly is so satisfying, not to mention his ultimate makes you feel like an epic samurai if you do it right, as shown this highlight I made into a .gif;

... Can't believe I didn't even get Play Of The Game for it!

Does anyone else on here play on PC? I could do with more people to play with...

I play on PC. For Mccree's nerf. If they made him killable with one direct granade hit by Zarya, I'd be fine with the old amount of damage he did.

To be fair, all I'd want them to do is maybe increase the damage of the flashbang so he can atleast kill squishies easier, it's annoying not being able to kill a Tracer with a flashbang and Fan The Hammer combo... and by the time you've finished using it, she can dash away or rewind or whatever, same goes with Reaper and Genji too... makes it a pain in the arse to kill the people he's supposed to be a counter to, lol.

I agree. Tracers is really too fast. And Zarya's granade does jack, to really hurt a tracer. VS A Tracer can spam, runaway like a ass, and then come around, kill. Before I can do a second shot. Not to mention. If I try to do it at point blank. I take granade damage. Making me even worse off. Zarya should have a second passive to deal with Tracer. Her gun controls gravity. Slow her down, if she is too close.

I actually really don't enjoy the offensive heroes (as weird as that sounds), which is why my playtime is so concentrated. I have max 2 hours on any offensive character, but I really enjoy playing D.va and Torb and no one usually has a problem with that, because one is a tank and the other is a good defensive pick. If I only played Hanzo and McCree, I could see people getting upset, but the two characters I focus on are generally needed. I can play Reinhardt and Roadhog and I have quite a few hours on Lucio and Widowmaker as well, but I generally don't enjoy playing the other characters.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

There's no problem with focusing on a character. My friend mainly play pharah. It's awesome that you have a tank on lock down, better than a team of hanzo's on attack...

What's even more awesome is that my tank is getting a buff, lol. I already have a 56% win rate with her. Pretty excited to see what happens after the buff! And excited to see what the buff will be!

Winston can be a real game changer. I typically pick Widowmaker on Defense. If we're having trouble or being pushed back, I switch to Winston. He's not often used, so I feel like not many know how to deal with him.

Most people suck as Winston. Using just about anybody, I can effectively gun down Winston before he can take me out. He's not even weak. People just don't know how to utilize his leap and shield to maximize his defense while pursuing offensive action. I'm not particularly good at it either, but that's why I avoid dragging down my team by using him.

My go-to tank is definitely D. Va. I wreck with her. Earlier I had a game with 30 some odd eliminations, 26 objective kills, and only two deaths. In the suit I can infiltrate well, and outside of the suit, her surprisingly strong handgun can really mop things up. I even got my Double Cap trophy earlier using her with 14 eliminations and 0 deaths. A bad game for me with her is when my K:D ratio is almost equal. Hell, I've hit a point where I'm mildly upset if I go something like 26 and 10 because I don't feel like I should be dying that much with her.

Game really doesn't have enough content for me, not for the asking price, I honestly expected more, it gets boring quickly.
It's competitors do offer more bang-for-buck in the content/price department.

With that said... Torbjorn, D.Va, Pharah and Symmetra are my go-to heroes, depending on the map/mode/mood.
Yesterday I had a 30 player Kill streak with Torbjorn, mostly because you just hide, repair turret, occasionally pew pew stuff and drop armor for team mates.

Zenyatta I am keen to learn to play.

Hanzo seems overpowered to me, seems to get a good chunk of the play of the games too.

But dear god, my greatest Criticism is the lack of content at a full AAA price. I criticized Battlefront, Evolve, Titanfall... Only fair to criticize this for the same reason.
