The only reason mesoteto won't become a mod is because of this slippery slope fear.

If the mods would accept the fact that you can let one guy into the club because he asks and deny the next one without reason it would be done. You are a bouncer yes bouncers at the door. you want the right people in your club and mesoteto is the right people. leo-j can start a thread right after mesoteto gets in and you can close it. Why because you are the bouncer.

Don't allow a few people who want themselves voted in stop those who actually deserve it and again WILL BE AN ASSET.

This is not openning the flood gates.

No we don't.

The last thing we need is for anyone to accuse this site of bias....and we all know which side would be accused of this if democracy were put in place.

ioi does a good job of appointing mods when the time is right. If someone really wants to become mod, I think the proper thing to do would be to send a message directly to ioi. From there, if ioi felt that it was at least up to debate, I'm sure he would present it to his moderators for them to deliberate on. I don't think he would respond to you....and the only way you would know if he liked the idea was if you became mod...but that seems the only way you would be taken seriously.

If I am elected I make this promise to be fair and equal.

I will try never to abuse my power, and will strive to correct my mistakes. I wish I could claim to never make them and I wish I would, but I am humane.

I promise I will dig to the bottom of the pile so I can know the whole issue and judge accordingly.

I promise to hand out warnings before the ban.

I promise to leave reasons.

I promise to answers pm.

As I type this I realize that this might sound like I don't think things are being done right, that is not the case. I think the mods on this site do a great job. From Ssj12 to FishyJoe I feel all the mods do their job, and I would like to be counted among your ranks.

I hope this thread will get some notice amongst the members and the moderators. I am asking for a show of support so that when ioi next asks for mods my name will be remembered and added. Thank you and god bless
