Its fine. Nothing bad, but nothing great either. Except maybe finding a crate to stand on every 20 minutes...

Time and again, one person would make it up to some ledge and say "wait there while I find you a way up". I'm yelling at the screen "Use the ROPE on your hip!"

Do they forget they're there!?!

Yeah, its a bit silly. It happens so many times as well.

I don't have a PlayStation history but do own a ps4. Someone gave me the Uac collection as a present and I played through it recently and I liked it enough to buy UC4.  As for gameplay it's much improved over the earlier titles so I'm not sure why people say it's not good.  As I was playing climbing, jumping and fighting it felt smooth.  I guess because of all of the movement, traversal and some stealth I had the thought of it being somewhat similar to AC in that way except I didn't want to throw my controller for through the tv at anytime during UC4 which for an AC game would be a constant desire.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Yes every cliff edge would have a spot to hook and climb up.

The puzzles can be a bit on the easy side but they are inventive. They don't want you losing brain cells or slowing down the game far too much while you bust out a paper and pencil to figure a puzzle out, I assume. The treasures have always been nothing more than a chore for the trophies, which a shame.

There is a lot of reliance on "platforming" this time around, sometimes excessively. The fantastic rope mechanic and sliding sections somewhat alleviate this however.

It's still the best gameplay in the series, in my opinion, everything else works and flows perfectly.

I´m playing on hard mode (as I´ve always done in every Uncharted), and as someone who doesn´t enjoy stealth these days, I´m being forced to use it since I´ve been dying so much not knowing where the fuck the bullets are coming from due to the open level design, even if I´m moving around all the time.

In short, and based on lots of comments I´ve been reading about the game, I must be in the minority who is not really enjoying the open level design of enemy encounters, but still a pretty good game and I´m enjoying it despite my dislike of the aspect mentioned above.

I'm talking about the parts where one guy climbs up and a ladder breaks or I give them a boost. They go looking around for a convenient box to push down for me to climb up on instead of lowering the rope to me.

The AI has an amazing arm with those grenades. I'm up on top of the tower in a part of the Madagascar level. The enemy 100 yards away down on the ground behind cover and they toss a grenade up perfectly right next to me, again and again. I can't even chug it that far from the top of the tower...

Platforming / climbing has been vastly improved, fun to climb around even more fun to swing around. There are plenty of alternate paths and nook and crannies to explore. Finding treasures that feels great to me. The only thing I don't like it that it often blocks the way back somehow. If you climb up or down the wrong ledge too soon you can go back to check if you've missed something.

While the puzzles are beautifully integrated, they're not really puzzles. I have the hints turned off yet it still feels like the game is explaining every step of the way. I just reached chapter 13, so far all the puzzles have been no more complicated than following build instructions from IKEA.

Driving is tons of fun. I failed the Madagascar level so many times playing with the jeep. Jumping off places, driving on two wheels, exploring the maze while ignoring the chase.

Gun play is fine, although I'm enjoying stealth better. Climbing around and picking them off one by one is more fun to me.

At least one spot you can climb around before Sam can push the convenient box down (where a bridge breaks). Maybe that was just the game making fun of itself, dunno if he would have actually thrown down the box or whether there are other places with alternate paths circumventing the box.

The gimme a boost, push up a beam stuff just signals to me that there is no going back after. Oneway only spots.

I actually laughed my ass off at that part ! And we still used the box later!

It's the best gameplay in a TPS imo. I look at something like Gears and it's still the same gameplay from 2006. Gun fights feel awesome with the mobility and destructibility. The amazing audio of the guns and explosions is just icing on the cake.
