I wasnt impressed from the multiplayer betas graphics so i doubt the singleplayer looks segnificantley better.

The best looking engine with the best performance goes hands down to the Fox Engine in MGS5 imo, it runs on 5 different platforms and looks amazing on all of them

Actually, the campaign does look considerably better. The beta's performance was also bad.

However, I'm not as impressed by Doom's graphics as others.

After playing the new Doom for countless hours i have no doubts, iD is back in the game with the most impressive 60fps tittle ever released and even puts to shame most 30fps ones.

Doom has definitely blown my mind at 1080p/60frames. Question is though, which game looks better at 1080p/60, Doom or Halo 5 because Halo 5 also had dynamic resolution and that game looked amazing as well. I would say Battlefront aswell but that game wasnt 1080p on consoles so ill exclude that one.

halo 5 ?

Seems like DF and even NX Gamer agree with me:

In polish, I'd certainly give the edge to Doom. But that engine can't do what Halo 5 does in the same scale and maintain that performance.

Basically, I don't think Halo 5 pushes the most impressive visuals be we don't see other games doing what Halo 5 does at 60 fps either.

Eh, I'd wager that several games have bettered Halo 5 @ 60fps on the Xbox One, but I don't want the topic to veer far.

Maybe Frostbite games, but I think a lot of us feel that has an edge over Doom.

Halo 5 looked good, but DOOM is on another level. Even on the X1.

I wouldn’t say Doom is on another level because I just played Halo 5 after playing Doom and Halo 5 looks better in some ways where Doom doesn’t and vice-versa. Doom does have more a realistic approach whereas Halo 5 has more a CGi look. When I compare them both, looking at the environments I think Halo has the edge when it comes to variance and there’s a lot more happening in Halo 5 whereas Doom has that nice Realistic look but it does suffer from frame dips and lack of enemy AI which Halo 5 blows it away in and Halo 5 is a constant 60 frames 99% of the time. Not bad for an old horse. Doom has the advantage of not rendering the AI Halo has to, so that obviously gives Doom a good CPU advantage but Halo 5 is definitely no push over.

Anyway, I love the look of Doom and I hope the sequel sticks to its art style. Same for Halo 5. Both are great FPS gems and I’ll be buying there sequels day one.
