Ehh it was... there was a prediction thread that also included zelda and most people thought halo would sell more regardless of the userbase

That's just kind of sad. Like, not even as an insult to anybody who thought that, but even as a former Halo fan it was clear which was taking the crown this go around. TLoU smashed all previous trends sales-wise in terms of Sony exclusives and opened up a new gate for exclusive sales on PlayStation. Now the only question is if the wildcard Zelda NX can pull off the upset and combine with Zelda U to edge out Uncharted. 

Back before the Xbox One released I would have said that a next gen Uncharted would for sure sell less than a next gen Halo. However, after seeing how bad the Master Chief Collection did and how bad Halo 5 is selling (and especially how disappointing Halo 5 was for me), I think that Uncharted 4 will easily outsell Halo 5, if not all Halo's that come out on the Xbox One.

This could be the first Uncharted game to sell over 10 million copies lifetime since it has everything going for it.

Hmm i think people are getting ahead f themselves saying charted 4 will sell 2ml fw. Now im not sure which game is going to sell more lifetime but it shoulbea n interesting matchup .

I mean, it was understandable to some extent. Back then UC4 had less in game footage and i personally didn't think it could win against halo either. Considering how much Halo 4 sold... you could have argued X1's userbase wouldn't matter since the franchise always had insane ratio and well.... a new halo HAS to win.

I'm honestly really surprised at how easy this fight ended up for UC4. Well, at least looks like it. Who knows

To an extent, yeah, but people were outright discrediting the selling power PS exclusives, especially ND games, now have because of TLoU breaking that barrier down, while saying install base didn't matter on either side because Halo or something. 

Had Halo 5 had a cohesive plot and not outright lied to fans in the ad campaign, it could've turned out closer, though. 

I think a year ago a lot of people were very hopeful for Halo 5, both in terms of its own sales and its ability to move Xb ones. 6 months post launch and the game reviewing lower than hoped, being a disappointment to a reasonable proportion of franchise fans and likely failing to hit sales targets, while UC4 is getting rave reviews, it's pretty easy to notch a sizeable win on UC4's belt for this head to head.

Well considering Halo 4 sold 9.7 million, and Uncharted 3 sold 6.8 million, that is a gap of 3 million.

Now let's say Halo 5 sells 20% less than halo 4 lifetime, Halo 5 would still sell 7.1 million copies. Now Uncharted 3 sold 6.8 million on PS3 with a install base of 85 million.

Considering the PS4 is at 50% where the PS3 is Uncharted 4 can only hope to reach the 6 million units but not 7 million. Therefore I see Halo 5 selling at least 1 million copies more than uncharted 4.

Halo hasn't lost any fans and I think PlayStation fans are getting ahead of themselves thinking uncharted 4 could even outsell a HALO game.

The only Halo game that Uncharted 4 could probably outsell is halo wars 2.
