I'll be talking with my mom on the phone in Arabic, and people will be giving me dirty looks- for what reason? Is it somehow a sin to ask your mother how she's doing? Does speaking a language suddenly make me an extremist  who's a pedophile, rapes women, abuses children, and wants to kill all non-Muslims and force Sharia law around the world? Is Arabic a language specifically made for Muslims now?

Like goddamn, people are acting like I'm making a plan with ISIS to bomb them all- chillax. For Christ's sake, just because I said "allah", I won't be going around shooting you. Come on, the word Allah(which LITERALLY MEANS GOD) isn't some tabboo that magically makes ISIS members come out and kill you.

Arabic is 100% badass. LOOK AT THIS. LOOK. 

It's all about the reality of not knowing enough about something to feel comfortable about it. It doesn't help that every ISIS video has some jack ass repeating "Allah" endlessly like he's got a quota to reach.

I am not going to lie. I was uncomfortable around it for a while, much as I was uncomfortable around a nail salon when my girl friend convinced/forced me to get my feet done. Now I am not uncomfortable anymore (even as a evil Trump supporter *insert spooky sounds) and frankly considering how god damn friendly Arabs/Persians generally are people have no idea what they are missing out on.

Plus the food alone is worth getting passed that initial awkward phase.

I think it is also because it isn't that common of a language in most of the U.S. I've never heard anybody speak Arabic until I started attending a college that has many Arabic speakers (and international students in general.) Arabic is one of the top languages people learn in the U.S though, so certainly some people see merit in it, for a variety of reasons.

I m American and everytime I observe a person speaking Aribic, US citizens come running out offering, food, places to stay, family members, money etc to them-  They then compliment them on how beautiful the aribic language sounds and compliment them in geneneral-   so before you say something as ignorant as "get it together America"  why don t you check your facts  because I guarantee you all or even most of the counry does not act nervous when they hear Arabic

I always love the " i am being wrongly thought of" by an entire nation- 

But.....if you want to help convince those people who "seem to you nervous" when you speak Arabic, then consider finding a camera and a mic and condem Araic terrorist when they strike-   it would be great pr and it does not happen enough

You should grab a camera and condemn violence every time a white kid shoots up a school then.

Religion haven't done anything but killing positive progress of everything good, it's a crime i will curse until i die but i never blame the victims of religion for whatever interpretation they might believe in. Morality is more important and therefore we can't judge or look down at people until they have earned that priviledge

Ok there buddy, deep breath. I think you took what he's saying to an extreme. It doesn't require a majority of people to act that way for someone to be bugged out about it. He's asking a blanket statement which honestly relates to plenty of people. Hell, I don't even speak Spanish and people think when I enter the building I am there to go after their daughters and repair roofs. 

I learned to just go with the flow and ask "Where are all the white women at?"

I won't ask the same question for roofing because shit if I know how to fix a roof.
