Tbh I sucked at the first KI games but this game looks good and I don't wanna get SFV until there is more meat to it.

Too bad it's not on Steam/Origin.

It is cross-buy but at launch there was a message saying that they had problems with the cross-buy functionality. Not sure if it's fixed now but if not I'm sure it'll be fixed in the bear future.

The game had been on an 18 years hiatus, 2D fighting games changed a lot since then.

The game didn't have a modern foundation like Street Fighter series or MK to be based on.

They had to make sure its a good game before it was a full game.

...I'm a little confused here. Many moves are the same? KI's roster has arguably the most diverse moveset of any fighting game...ever. With the exception of Jago/Shadow Jago, you'd be hard pressed to find any character with a remotely similar moveset to another.

I have to agree that Ki probably has one of the most diversity in movesets.  The motion to do the moves I guess you could say is the same but how each character is played is totally different and some just plain out there.

lol "people's champion" is a good one
The game's sales and tournament interest paint an entirely different story. People like to pump up this game because it's not available on PS4 and downplay others because those games aren't on Xbox.

Unless you work with Microsoft, there's no way you could know that information. No sales data has been made public. Really, all we have to infer is that its sold well enough to warrant three seasons.

As for tournament interest, it's done quite well. Combo Breaker was a highly successful tournament, and it's consistently appeared in big events like Evo, Apex, and CEO.
