3D fighters don't compete with 2D ones.

I believe Harada would do well to make sure this is fresh as fuck. 

Eh. The backgrounds may be but the models aren't.  (imo)

Im more interested in Tekken 7 personally, KI didn't do it for me the few times I've tried it.

I never really got into it. I hated the staggered way it was released as a launch title. Waited for the campaign to be released. Got tired of waiting and eventually uninstalled it.

Totally this. 

KI got it right in every department. People complain about the staggered launch and "not getting into it". They are just hurting themselves. Everything about KI mesmorizes me. Those sounds your selections make when in menus are killer! 

People tend to stick with the familiar so there's a barrier for a game like this. It served a niche market in the 90's and fell dormant. Threads like this give Killer Instinct some extra justice. Maybe MS should end the F2P model now? 

I've never really been a huge fighting game fan, outside of the Smash series, but KI's aesthetic has kept me consistently playing it since the start of season 2. Everything about the game, from the diversity of the characters, to the stages, to the announcer voice, to the music, to the almost insanely over the top storyline, just screams hype and makes me really want to play a game in a genre I don't get into that much. The prospect of seeing an ice alien go up against a demon, or a mummy fight a giant rock monster, is just too crazy to pass up. It winds up appealing to me far more than the relatively limited diversity in something like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.
