So I bought my first Amiibo today despite swearing against it for the past few months, I thought Pac-man looked nice and since i only want him for display i thought id bite. I'll probably buy Cloud aswell when he finally comes out too anyway thats beside the point haha.

The question is would you buy a Sony Amiibo thing? If so which characters would you want? If not why?

I only bought my amiibos for the figurine, I hate when they block important pieces of content in the game (skins and power-ups are fine, entire modes are not). And Sony would need to talk to other companies to get the licenses for their characters, or it could be another PSASBR. They lack the amount of recognizable characters amiibo, DI or Lego Dimensions have.

You can already buy action figures for most PlayStation characters if you want, blocking off on disk content to encourage me to buy them would just be the biggest turn off possible.

The only Sony amiibo I would ever care for is for one of Crash Bandicoot. (and Cloud Strife, but he's already getting his own Smash amiibo anyways. )
