I feel like you don't really understand it.  People like arguing against universal health care (or insurance or whatever else you want to brand it) by saying it "isn't free" and phrase it like someone else is paying for others.  What you don't understand is that's how ANY insurance works.  Insurance isn't covering the amount you put in, necessarily.  The reason it works is because not everyone is going to need it.  So actually it IS better if everyone conformed to it, because insurance is about managing risk.  The more people who participate, the cheaper it will be per person.  Having insurance doesn't increase the number of people who NEED medical attention.  It may increase the number of people who go, which can in turn mean more people coming up with less medical issues in the future.

So the last sentence you put there doesn't apply in this case.

Oh yes it does. I was talking about countries. If someone has a rare illness or an illness that's expensive to treat, you're put on a waiting list aka thrown under the bus because the needs of the many outweigh the few. In the US, you can pay to get treated. In other places, you're on a waiting list. If someone wants to get treatment, they can fly to somewhere like the US for it. That's why its better if some countries don't use universal healthcare. Just keep the US out of that.

That's a severe oversimplification of the issue.  There are priorities on who gets treated.  Long waiting times still exist in the USA.  People will die from waiting here or simply not ever getting treated due to not being able to pay for it.  You still don't seem to understand the issue that well if you think that universal coverage means that more people will die.

I'm of the mindset that rallies are specifically for fanatics and this behavior is probably not uncommon. Not sure about you guys, but I certainly have better things to do.

Would you seriously want to go a mexican hosipital for a serious injury or medical problem (not immediately life threatening)? Mexico is a really bad example to compare the US to. Alot of mexicans are braving whatever dangers to illegally cross the southern border into the US to live there. I'm sure that's for a lot of reasons to run from mexico but mexico's healthcare apparantly not an incentive to stay.

Profit fuels the drive to rapidly research and develope new medicines medical technology, surgerial procedures/techniques. Universal healthcare doesn't. Besides universial healthcare is a kind of socialism or communism and that doesn't really mix well in the US.

Um, what?  Seriously?  Fire Departments, Police, Military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, US Coast Guard), the FAA, free public education till you graduate from HS, guaranteed emergency health care at a Hospital, ALL of those are socialism.

Plus, add Social Security, Medicare, Disability, Freeways, etc. for more Socialism.

Profits can still drive research – why not make them all not for profit – so instead of a giant percentage going to someone’s pocket, it all goes back to research.  Plus, most medical research is sponsored by the government anyway (Universities, Hospitals, etc.)

PS I think you are neglecting how many US citizen move to Mexico to retire.  Do you really think they would go if it was so bad?  And yes, statistically, the US Health Care system is about the same as the one in Mexico, just 7 times more expensive.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

It's ultimately up to a person (or guardian in the case of children) to pay for their own treatment and healthcare. The government is not meant to provide everything from daily food to a place to stay by paying for it. It's not a surrogate parent to everyone that lives in an area.

I just believe that universial healthcare will not work out and that its not ultimately better for people. It's a kind socialism or even communism and it will fail in the long run.

So you run under the logic that if it can be called "Socialist" or "Communist" (wut?) then it will fail.  Because Socialism and Communism is against all political/human logic and always fails.  Yes?

You can have your own opinions, but let's just say that some things aren't opinions.

You understood what I meant with socialism. The US is not a socialist state. Universal healthcare is too close to communism or a too extreme of socialism.

Some people retire there because their money will go further. That's the only reason. The quality of life there is much lower. I'll never believe that mexico has the same quality of healthcare as the US.

Russia, China and Iran is having a ball with the US foreign policy and everyone is worried about ISIS. lol!

Oh! America xD

I wonder if the smug has gotten into the anti-Trump supporters head ...

Love how Donald Trump brings out the worst in humanity and shows everyone their own true colours LOL

yeah the 78 years old is the bad guy for punching the stronger youths in the face lol? hes a hero in my book and has some balls. Yeah these Evil Trump supporters

a hero for punching someone who was clearly not aggressive and just on his way out of the hall, what a laugh

and so "ballsy" when 10k or so likeminded people are in the room to punch one of the 10-100 there that are critical of the event

and all that crowned with a "next time we might have to kill him" comment after the event, mighty fine heroes you have

I know many people who can barley breath when they are 78 years old. No one forced these protesters to come to this event, they trolled and got a beating from the elderly, thats how it could be reported as awell.

sucker punch and that up with the statement "The next time we see him, we might have to kill him." as a response for exercising his first amendment right for peaceful protest.

trump supporters really are assholes and the biggest threat to america right now.   you're an idiot to idealize this man.

User was warned for this post ~ CGI-Quality

I am not idealizing this man, i just prefer him over always smiling Two Faced People like Hillary Clinton. And the fact that this man is 78 years cant be ignored, espacially since CNN tries so hard to brand Trump Supporters as some kind of maniacs in this article.

So just moments ago, anti-Trump supporters used free speech to prevent free speech in Chicago. Is this seriously the direction our country is going where people can no longer speak freely? Donald Trump needed to postpone his rally in Chicago to a later date to ensure the safety of thousands of people. Why are the people on the left so uncivilized to the point where they enter in these rallies, protest, and start throwing punches with Trump supporters?

I'm assuming the Democrats are largely embarrassed after what happened in Chicago and further explains the North Carolina incident as well.
