This isn't about punishing kids. It's about sociopathic parents who use their kids to get attention for themselves. It's abuse, and disgusting.

A lot of people are making a lot of assumptions about this.
So I'm staying neutral unless more background information is provided.

It's like the father said ...
They had every opportunity to get help from their superiors and this isn't the first incident either since every recent report cards they have gotten a bunch of Fs ...
Shouldn't that be enough to pass judgement ?

Exactly. I'm shocked to hear that some users here think this is fine. |
You have to understand there are vast cultures differences between a kid that goes to a public school in downtown Memphis to whatever upbringing you've had. I applaud the parent for taking an active role in child rearing and doing all he can from allowing his kids to go down a bad path.

Ok...
Are their superiors a reliable source of help? Are their parents contributing at all helping out their grades, if not detrimenting it? Do they have a legitimate reason why they got F's because of inside home situation and/or such? There's so many more variables that I can't really answer objectively.
Lol, you know those kids will end up productive members of society instead of leashes
Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
Well that's certainly one way to discipline your child... o_o
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

For teachers, it is required that they have a bachelor's degree. For upperclassmen's there is no guarantee other than that they are at a higher year. Teaching assisstant's can be variable as they could either range from in high to completing college ...
These kids on the otherhand look like they have yet to hit high school so I can't see why their superior's can't help them ...
@Bold As for the rest a student is responsibile for their OWN grades so these questions hardly apply ...

Don't be naive that just because teachers require a bachelor's degree doesn't automatically mean that they're great teachers, especially in a public school setting. I've peer tutored math in the past where I had to help out a teacher that forgot a lot of her algebra 2, and it was kinda really sad.
You can make all the judgements you want, but I won't. You're not in their shoes, so you can't fully comprehend their situation.
