Forums - General Discussion - jat li or jackie chan???

Jackie Chan is way better than Jet Li AND Bruce Lee.
Jackie Chan is way more stunt-oriented than Jet Li.
You don't see Jet Li jumping from balcony to balcony, and Jet Li doesn't even perform his own stunts.
JACKIE DOES!!!

Plus, Jackie's fighting and moves seem more real and down to earth and doesn't have any computer tricks as in Jet Li's movies.

JACKIE CHAN IS THE TRUTH!!!

Im a big martial arts movie fan but Li is one of my favs. Hes got nasty speed, and has a real martial arts background. He represents a lot of styles real well.

Chan is great in his own right and has brought more to the genre(as a choreographer) but his fight style is not as hardcore as Li.

Right now Donnie Yen is my boy, possibly my favorite martial arts actor out there. He has flawless english and I hope he breaks through in America.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Jackie Chan can make a really great fight scene with a pair of headphones, a measuring stick, and an umbrella. It's like he walks around the set, sees something that catches his eye, and will integrate it in the movie.

Plus, Jackie can make you laugh.

Jet Li, while he is also good, doesn't come close to Jackie, especially when it comes to stunts. Jackie leaping off of bridges, buildings, sliding down a few stories risking his own life just to make the scene work gets high nods in my books. Li will use wires to make his fighting look good, but it also just seem more fake than real life.

Their acting styles are so different that it's really hard to compare them. It's basically taking a comedic actor and a dramatic one and asking which one is better.

It depends on whether you're talking about Jacki Chan's Early work or his late work. Fearless Hyena is still in my top favorite martial artist movie of all time, and I marveled at the stunt work he did, cause it showed that it was real. Controlled, but utterly real.
Recently though, there has been more special effects, 3d work and wire use in his movies, and lets face it, he's over 50 now. After the stuff he's done, he totally deserves to start taking it easy.

I haven't seen much of Jet Li's work, but like Legend11 pointed out, there's a huge difference between a dramatic actor and a comedic actor. I personally value comedy much more highly than drama, as the world already has enough drama already, we need the laughs.

Jackie chan all the way

Also Jet li doesn't have a future, maybe even older then jackie chan. Both are accomplish action actors. Jet li even already announced his last movie, dunno why he is making more movies still.

Jackie chan no doubt.

I love Jackies older films with Samo, and The Cannonball Run.
Jet Li's Fearless and Hero are fantastic. I also like The One, its corny but fun.
At 54 + 45 respectivly, both have had great careers and deserve their places as movie legends.
Who would win in fight between them?
Chuck Norris.

Don't fret you're not the only one not impressed with him right now. We got to remember one thing and that's, people get old.

I always love the stunt Jackie Chan does. So i'm chan all the way.
