Forums - Nintendo Discussion - To those who say NX isn't coming this year

What's your point again exactly? Lol.

That there are hints the NX may come out in 2016 (home console wise, I actually think the handheld will launch this year)? Sure, but I don't think it will.

And if my evidence and reasoning make sense, it would seem there's more behind my reasoning than my "There is no way the NX is coming this year because it's an iron-clad law a console generation has to  be at least five years" mantra (which strangely enough is a mantra that doesn't even exist).

"Making someone sound like a rabid madman when that person hasn't made any personal attacks against you or shown any sign of losing control; this is essentially putting them down and/or flaming."

That was the point. The discussion was very civil, respectful and fascinating up until that point.

Then there are ways of letting him know than going off into your own disrespectful reply. In doing that you're only adding to the problem.

I specifically asked if u were talking about 1st party or 3rd party and u never gave an answer.

When in the last 30 years has a console released with 8, 1st party games? There hasn't been one because it is unwise to release that many 1st party games at once. It makes infinitely more sense to elease 2 on launch day in November with 1-2 more in December then spread out about a dozen or so throughout the following year.

Without 3rd party support, just four 1st party games is horrible in a launch year or any year. If nintendo does that with NX.... As I mentioned earlier, NX needs to get consumers' interest.

Sorry to get into your conversation, but.. I think 4 games are already enough too. After all, it won't have 0 third party games at launch, it will probably have a decent amount as even the Wii U had. Third parties tend to invest a bit on new hardware at launch to see if it pays off.

Take this launch line up for example: Zelda port, Mario 3D, Pikmin 4 and Smash 4 port (putting this here cause of the strong rumor). Plus, a decent third party support, I think this would get consumers' interest. That is, if the marketing is good, and of course... the concept of the console iselft.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

So why are you now flip flopping and saying they won't have any 3rd party games? And we're not talking about launch year (first 12 months), we're talking about launch window (first 1-2 months) in which case four, 1st party titles is more than enough.

"Without 3rd party support, just four 1st party games is horrible in a launch year or any year" Could you point out where I said they won't have any 3rd party games? A year is 12 monhs but I guess i should have said I was talking about a full year and not just a few months.

I guess we'll see. More 1st party games for the first year wouldn't hurt, though.

"The main difference between launching this november and next year's november will be in the amount of games NX will have to launch with"

That is the original post that I quoted from you, the word YEAR never once appeared, u literally just said launch.

"WITHOUT 3RD PARTY SUPPORT, just four 1st party games is horrible" right there is where you said no 3rd party support.

Of course, what I'm saying is just about first month.

I really do hope that Nintendo releases the NX this year. My wallet is ready for NX.

You're obviously having trouble with understanding my posts. Reread my posts. I'm getting tired of explaining myself.

I did mention "year" in that post and I've been talking about years ever since that post.

I didn't say anything close to "NX will not have 3rd party support."

"Without 3rd party support, just four 1st party games is horrible in a launch year or any year"

Another way I could word that and still mean the same thing is this, "If nintendo doesn't have 3rd party support, just four 1st party games is horrible in a launch year or any year".

You severely misunderstand me on that.

Sounds like you're a lot more offended and butthurt over that last paragraph in my reply than I ever was. All I did was say that Soundwave is provididing sources  and official quotes for his reasoning, while you are not. You said I'm not contributing anything to the debate, so here is  my contribution:

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/01/ihs_technology_adds_to_speculation_of_an_nx_portable_release_in_2016

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for you to show me something to believe the NX isn't coming in 2016 beyond "There is no way the NX is coming this year because it's an iron-clad law a console generation has to  be at least five years." If you can't or won't do that, then could you kindly get over my first post already? It's been like, three days and five posts. Let it go.
