Forums - Music Discussion - David Bowie is Dead @ 69 y/o. RIP

And to think, he had just released a studio album a few days before.
He kept on fighting and working all the way to the very end.
Truly admirable.
RIP Mr. Bowie.
Thank you for everything!

Sad to see such an icon pass away..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I can't believe it. I was listening to the Blackstar album (amazing, by the way) when I heard the news. One of the greatest artists of all time. RIP, Ziggy.

Goodbye major

Deeply saddened by this news. David Bowie was one of my heroes and my childhood crush (I must have watched Labyrinth a hundred times growing up). He was so different and amazing and I'm just glad got to be around to appreciate him.

A career spanning almost 50 years and 25 albums with the final album released on his birthday only 2 days before his death. The world has lost a great musician/entertainer.

It's time to see Labyrinth again:

And play the video game:

I'm listening Blackstar again (I must have heard the album 100 times) and it seems like Bowie knew it was probably gonna be his last album. Some lyrics reflect that feeling. So, listening to it now feels different, a mix between sadness and disturbing. He was truly a genius.

He was an absolute genius, and had exquisite artistic integrity overall.

Such sad news, two music icons gone already and we're only 10 days into 2016

I must have missed it, who was the first?

My bad man, really thought lemmy died in 2016 and not the 28th, ah well, small error, still a shame about these two music legends.
