People are waiting for the PS4 version and giving MS hell for this timed exclusive fiasco. This is great!
Can't think of anything. I just feel the exclusivity deal didn't work out and it was wrongly timed for release.
I'm still seeing plenty Halo 5 commercials, not one Tombraider commercial.
Didn't Sony already prove last gen that not advertising games = few sales...
The deal didn't really work out that well and of course it came out when two other AAA games came out, even then they didn't market it much at all or bundle it with anything which is their fault in the end. I can't see the franchise dying off completely though since it's survived all these years and had worse sequels and spinoffs before this.

Dragon Quest 11 is not PS4 exclusive though. Just so you know. It's coming to the 3DS and most likely NX too.

Also add that they just gave out DQH to PC which so far is doing well review/port wise and SE are a multiplat dev company, staying exclusive to just one platform isn't in their cards, not for an entire gen anyway.

They should have been a little bit more worried about Fallout 4. :P Well it's pretty much more indication that the Tomb Raider timed exclusivity deal was one of the worst ideas ever. It didn't help Microsoft, it didn't help Square... It pissed allot of their fanbase off which coincidentally many if not the most are on a different system so they didn't even release it to where most their fans were. This may effect the budget of the next game and significantly alter the franchises future, but hey... They said they were not worried! The perfect storm of stupid is complete. |

Seriously, who was the GENIUS behind that idea so MS or CDY can boot him or her?
I dont know why people are so worked up about this. The series isnt in danger. MS likely covered the risks financially of going exclusive. Why else would it go exclusive?
Worst case scenario, this game will be on GwG and PS Plus about 2 years from now so milions of people play it and see this game is fucking great.

Selling so low and fracturing the user base means that a future Tomb Raider 3 will sell even less and who is going to cover the expenses then? Long term is much better to have a healty franchise than having the expenses of one game payed by someone else, it should be pretty obvious.
