Shadow of the colossus?
A weird little imp thing rides around on a dog and they go sledding with a yeti.
(And might I say, kudos for the legitimately unique thread idea.)
You are playing a game of water polo, when suddenly you get swallowed by a whale. You wake up in a whole new world where people still play water polo and fear whales. Whenever people die in this world they turn into zombies unless you dance for them. It turns out your father is a whale, your father's best friend is dead, and you don't exist.

A blonde teenager with his head in the clouds, and is bullied by a dumb tall guy with stupid hair, tries to save the girl he has the hots for from this creepy guy with possible signs of skin cancer, with the help of this just as creepy girl with just as possible signs, who doesn't show care or emotion at all.
