I see this posted all the time and I always laugh. What makes you think Sony wouldn't be winning if the other two didn't fuck up? Some arguments would be much appreciated.

I doubt it, you will miss out clearly on a hell of a lot of titles by just owning a wiiu. And just owning an xbox one you will miss out a lot of japanese titles. It is what it is ps4 has the most games just like the ps2 did. 

Your example is basically the exact opposite of equating sales with quality, but okay.

I didn't say Sony "cheated" their way into winning. Yes, they are winning because MS and Ninty screwed up. Do they "deserve" to win? Nah, there's no such thing as deserving to win in business. You do what you do, and you try your best to win.

I mean, Microsoft could've bought Activision and 2K and made CoD, GTA, Destiny, Bioshock, etc. all exclsuive to the XBO, and it would've destroyed the PS4 in no time. Would that mean they "deserved" to win? Again, no.

They were the ones building the best machine and had the best 3rd party relations. The 2 only things you need to get right and they're the only ones that got both right.

I could spin that and say. They were smart and beat Sony and Nintendo to the punch. So they deserve to win. 'Cause Sony and Nintendo failed to capitize on an opening. Which MS did here, in your case. Nintendo: Sony got all the 3rd parties away from Nintendo, ps1 years. XB1: Sony made the game lending ad, that made fun of MS' unexplained DRM. Examples of dick moves. If MS bought those companies, would that be a dick move? Fuck yeah. But that is a subjective emotional reason. VS them doing it. Getting around monopoly laws. And owning Sony and Nintendo's ass. That's how a corporation thinks. And someone would say getting around monoply laws is more impressive than anything else thrown on the table.

Don't care about Japanese support at all.

If MS started the XBO at $399 this gen would be far different. But the XBO is still selling well and is going to have a massive holiday. The games coming out next year look great too.

Of course imo, PS4 does not deserve to win for many reasons. Still can't change your PSN ID T_T

But MS messed up early with pricing and announcement.

I prefer the Xbox One because it just fits the kind of gamer I am, more. If anybody asked my honest opinion about which console to buy, I'd honestly tell them to buy a PS4. XBO does a few cool things that the PS4 can't but yeah, if people just want a console to hook up to the television and play some games, it's the one to get.

Sony did most of the gaming related stuff better than its competition so it deserves to win.

*edit* for the record, it's still the least played console in my home.

Yeah, they provided the better system, technically and the better value. Plus, the games.

If it would be that easy they would have done that ages ago. You are also talking about "deserving" (don't know why I don't talk about deserving or did I?) so would you say it is "Fair" for sony to win?
