x1 did good when we consider that it had to fight against a ps4 price cut.

No, no it didn't... and far as PS4 goes we don't know how much of an effect all the bundles intended for november did but less then 304 k regardless of the number means both of them did poor for October. Halo did not push hardware much at all. PS4 price cut didnt push numbers much at all either.

I don't think consoles are dead or anything, its only 1 month. Need to see Nov-March IMO to make any consoles were front loaded doom remarks though.

The two star wars bundles and the bo3 bundle don't count until October so chances are they sold less actual consoles it's just the ps4 ones get pushed back a month.  Unless Microsoft go insane black Friday week the Ps4 is going to beat it badly this month.

The bundles dont come out this month...

Not really when in Halo 4 launch month the 360 sold over double what the Xone and PS4 sold this month.

But halo 4 released in november(black Friday month)

“Console hardware sales increased by 3 percent over October 2014,” he said. “This was due entirely to [Xbox One and PlayStation 4] generation sales, which rose by 12 percent to offset the 66 percent decrease in hardware sales for last generation consoles.”

Anyone know what systems are included with this? Handhelds (3DS and Vita) are also current generation consoles, so I assume those are also included.

This is last years October NPD:

PS4: 297k
XBO: 168k

Perhaps we expected too much?

So the ps4 didnt get a price cut this month.

Well 80% increase is good, and if the ps4 didnt have a price cut it would have sold much better.

Cool, Microsoft seen a great increase.

We can be sure that PS4+WiiU makes up about 293000 in combined sales for October 2015, since last year, combined sales for all three were 534000 and they had a combined growth of just 12% while X1 saw a growth of 81%.
