2016 Looks better because there are already variety of games coming next year than this year.
Game of the Year 2015: Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain or Bloodborne
Game of the Year 2016: Uncharted 4 or Persona 5

I prefer 2016.
The only good game in 2015 was Rocket League and the best updates for that will come out next year. Next year there will be Mirror's Edge and a couple of more nice ones. 2016 wins by majority vote.

As it stands i think 2016 looks considerably better. 2015 has had some great games (and still a few more to go), but it's almost silly how many 2016 titles i want to play. Also slightly depressing, because i know i won't have time for even half of them.
2016 is shaping up to be a good year.

2015 has had some great games with some others still coming. 2016 looks at the very least as good though.
Questions for myself right now, how good will Fallout 4 be and will 2016 have a better game than Witcher 3 for me at least?
