Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Does the removal of lingerie outfits from Fatal Frame in the West annoy you at all?

You have to admit, the game is fairly trashy with that outfit. It cheapens the experience for people who are actually interested in a serious and mature game. Games aimed at 13 year old jack offs are not mature.

i honestly don't care if is consider trashy or not i want to have the same game that Japan got except in English and have the developers full vision of the game intact without any changes made by the publisher.

Yes, it annoys me that nintendo goes out of their way to remove content from a game, even that little bit of content, because this is the year 1910 and we can't see a woman in a bikini on an M rated game, YET they wouldn't lift a finger for far more important stuff that people actually ask and care about; Nintendo of America as a company is seriously starting to get on my nerves and this is just one more stripe on the tiger's body

I'm not interested in Fatal Frame V and I'd argue that they don't fit the tone of the game.

BUT, games are a transformative medium and people can play them however they want. Playing an altered game or one that has removed content, for whatever reason, is frustrating so it may negatively impact the player's experience and their perceived value of a game they just bought for the same price as those who got everything.

Well too bad quoting everyone on this forum and complaining the same complaint over and over again will change nothing. Import the game and get a Japanese Wii U or play it on a emulator. but c'mon posting every other post saying the same thing over and over again and it becomes laughable esp when it's this much fuss over underwear. No matter your inentions pick your battlesover censorship but in this case it just looks funny.

How do you know it was the publisher who made the decision? And how do you know the dev team backed the lingerie stuff, and that it wasn't just some producer's whim? It's out of place, tacky, It doesn't seem like part of the developer's vision at all.

But otherwise, the game is the same game. An add-on uniform meant to appeal to jack-offs is nothing to whine about. And if you are one of those jack-offs, there are plenty plenty of websites that are actually all about that. But it doesn't add anything to Fatal Frame.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

people complained about Mass Effect 3's ending, the Xbox One DRM, Deus Ex Mankind Divided's Pre-Order bonus BS, and so on on forums and social media by basically saying the same thing over and over until they won

You guys do realize how shallow you're being, right? Not buying a game that was very close to not coming out here at all because they replaced skimpy outfits with less skimpy outfits is a hilariously stupid reason to change your mind. Nintendo is stupid for having barely released it, yes, but that doesn't mean you should be stupid and make sure they don't release the sequel in the West too.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

This sort of shit is why I'm really glad Nintendo isn't leading the industry. People are gonna go, "oh but it wasn't important get over it,etc" -but no. It takes away part of the value of the game. Wouldn't be a problem if you could just IMPORT the game, but Nintendo also had the brilliant idea to region lock their systems as well If you're gonna censor it, have a reason to censor it. Is it to lower the rating to T? No? It's still M? Then why the hell is it out? This sort of behavior among others that Nintendo exhibits are why I'd rather have Microsoft/Sony in charge. I really hope Nintendo can fix their act, especially Nintendo of America, before the arrival of the NX

now i admit i think people should still buy the game but take to social media and ask NoA to release the costumes as free DLC and to tell them to never do this again cause boycotting could send the wrong message since it would seem pretty vague.

The answer? Get a Japanese console and a copy of the game.
