You just seem to be generalizing a lot of stuff.

Some theorists focus on presumed built-in reward systems of the games to explain their potentially addictive nature.[72][73] In reference to gamers such as one suicide in China, the head of one software association was quoted, "In the hypothetical world created by such games, they become confident and gain satisfaction, which they cannot get in the real world."[
Well would ya look at that. The same kind of reward systems found in F2P. Crazy huh. It looks like there might be a connection after all! But I guess I'm just generalizing here and pulling this out of my ass because I'm jealous.
On that note, I'd like to say this - I do not accuse any of you for your health, nor condemn anyone at all for playing PC, playing F2P, playing MOBA, playing on their cell phone, or playing any kind of video game. I don't care about any of that.  I'm telling you why I think that PC gaming is a little too hardcore for me, why I'm not interested in it and I'm providing hard data to back up my facts since none of you are doing so, and since you all think I'm making shit up.

Revenue determines development focus, but so does development costs. The top tier of PC Gaming revenue producers also, typically require gigantic budgets, that prohibitive price forces diversity. That's why PC gaming enjoys the most freedom as a gamer, and that freedom means you are going to havea larger range of extremes. That being said, that doesn't change the fact that their are moderates.

All the fun to me is in the consoles. I don't like PC or mobile so have to stop gaming.

I would likely move to PC and play on the consoles I have now. It would be really sad though if it happened : P

On the bright side though, Mother 4.

Oooooooh yeeeeeeeah ; ) Also really want to try Undertale too. There are quite a bit of games that would fill me plenty on PC x )

Yeah, I don't enjoy playing games on PC anymore except for RTS which barely exist anymore and the few left I don't like, while I have never enjoyed playing on my phone, so yeah I'll probably drop out of gaming altogether.

I've been listening to that soundtrack for days. I don't know what I was thinking. Nothing like Mother 3. So good!

Glad to hear you like it too. x ) Yeah, I love to put it on as background music sometimes. I love Boom Town Lounge as well as Useful Vacation. Really neat tunes.

Yeah I would. PC gaming requires too much of an investment in time and I regard it as an unhealthy psychological addiction (my little brother is glued to the screen more often than not and.... I'll say no more about that).

Mobile gaming is just generally boring. Console gaming is accessible for me personally because I can pick up a quick match of CoD or spend a few hours on the weekend playing through campaign mode on some of the newer games, and then there's netflix to fall back on or Spotify if I'm cleaning the house. It's really convenient for the kind of media functions I desire.

Yeah, this happens a lot with PC gaming, it happened specifically to me, the sad part is a lot of that time isn't even spent playing games but doing something else ralated to it.

Like for example I'll spend insane amounts of time modding games, and TBH I'll actually like spending that time making my games better, but the problem is that most of the time when I got to playing the game, I ended terribly dissapointed and felt like it was all a huge waste of time.

This hit me the hardest with Skyrim, I spent like 10 hours modding it to find out that the game was utter garbage, despite looking amazing in theory, not only I felt dissapointed at that moment I felt actually kinda deppressed.

At that point I was playing less and less on PC but still quite a lot, that episode make me leave PC gaming almost completely, actually at that time I considered leaving it alltogether, but after a while I realized I still enjoyed gaming on consoles quite a lot. Right now I still game quite a lot, but on PC I've played maybe 10 hours in a year, mostly trying a couple of games to see if I like them, kinda like I do with every new Pokémon release to see if they're not crap anymore and return to the greatness of the past.

I prefer playing on PC, so no. actually, it would probably be better, especially if nintendo games were on pc.

Hi

If there were no other console at all Id probably play less, I dont think playing on PC is as fun as on consoles for whatever reason, cant realy explain, but Id still play.

You just spent all that time and energy to say that there is a lot more variety on PC than on home consoles?

Dude.  We know that.  Everyone knows that.

What you seem unable to understand--and honestly, I don't even know how this is possible--is that you do not have to play F2P games if you own a gaming PC.  You do not.  You don't have to play MMOs if you own a gaming PC.  I'm serious, you can look it up.  Why you think otherwise, I have no clue, but I'm telling the truth.

Actually, let me phrase it another way:  you can play any type of game you want on PC AND skip any type of game you don't want to play.

Now, why do you keep acting as though you have no choice but to play MMOs and F2P games?  I play neither one.  I mean, you just told us that traditional gaming on PC is a multi-billion dollar business.

I don't even know what to say anymore.  Your whole premise seems to be that you don't want to play on PC because you would be unable to control yourself and you'd get addicted to MMOs.  Wouldn't that just be your lack of self-control?  If that's the case, if your reason is simply that you have no will-power, then just say so.  Trying to imply that housewives playing Candy Crush is why you can't game on PC is just ridiculous and silly.
