You don't know either. EA and Microsoft is known to make deals like EA Access. Microsoft can offer the money and thats that. Microsoft is rich remember and Sony not so much. Also, it is known for a fact Titan Fall wouldn't exsist without Microsoft.

The only reason EA Access happened was because Sony didn't want it on their platform, so it's not much of a deal. Have you seen any other deals between EA and MS since then? They haven't released a timed exclusive on Xbox since everyone basically figured the PS4 was winning.  You think Microsoft gives the Xbox divsion unlimited money? Oh and  a company like Sony which is worth 7 billion has no money. Lol................................................................

Oh and Titanfall couldn't have existed without MS? Oh my, a huge company like EA couldn't afford to pay the bills for a game running on the source engine and a multiplayer game only at that. For a game that couldn't have existed without MS and was still going to release on PS4, yeah it definitely couldn't have happened without MS. Lol...................

Except that Titanfall wouldn't have been made if it weren't for MS funding the game, it is well known that they went to Sony for a PS4 version of the game before the exclusive deal but they rejected it and wanted them to make a Vita version instead lol. So Respwan owe a lot to MS.

EA had no faith in the project and was going to can the game so Respwan owe a lot to MS for saving their only project.

That's not how it is officially, EA is the one who funded the game. Respawn Entertainment didn't see a cent from Microsoft ...

Respawn already clarified about some vita version of Titanfall. Titanfall wasn't planned for the vita at all, it was the R1 project ...

@Bold Pure speculation ...

I could get behind a new IP and a new development teams much more than another buyout. One brings in more games, the other just eliminates choices.

I completely agree with you. New team with new IP might be risky but it should be more beneficial in the long run.

I don't want MS to buy Titanfall. It's one of my favourite FPS shooters atm and I think PS4 should be able to enjoy it too.

they should buy gamesworkshop!
warhammer is a strong IP with much lore, and they could nfc the shit out of it without making the models more expensive.

This. You could make some fantastic games with Warhammer.

So about 2.64 million on XBo, now the PS4 usually sells 2-3 times more multiplatform games so Titanfall has a potential of selling 5-6 million on PS4. Now do you even have any idea how much money that would cost to pay EA for? And that's just one game. This game is like Call of Duty, it's never going to be exclusive again because it would cost to much money.
EA has the potential to make more money from the game going multiplat then selling it.

Just because the PS4 has a larger userbase does not mean game sales will scale linearly ...

Who cares about what EA has to pay for exclusivity, it's Respawn Entertainments decision ...

Looking at almost every multiplat, yes it actually is true. It's actually a fact if you believe VGC.

Contracts..it's called contracts. Companies do them, EA funds Respawn and they get some type of ownership. They went behind Respawn and took money to make TF exclusive, how much power do you think Respawn actually has?

As I've said, it's EA, they can fund the game, don't say that EA, of all companies can not fund a game like Titanfall, that's just ridiculous. That was nothing but PR talk, you must also think Rise of the Tomb Raider could not have happened without Microsoft, lol.

Well possibly Japanese Developer or Publisher, because Microsoft is loosing Japanese consoles sales. If Microsoft really want to stay competitive on Japan, then probably next year they will buy some companies from Japan. Maybe they will employ Hideo Kojima, to make some exclusives

They should buy GTA, CoD and Assassin's Creed.

Buying another shooter game would be pointless and I don't want them to buy Remedy because they would ruin them like they did Rare and Remedy should be developing for other platforms like they used to.I agree about them creating their own franchises, which is why the X1 is in the state that it is in now.

Microsoft and Remedy have a good relationship so it won't be bad if MS buys them and no Rare was already in trouble before MS bought them.
