Forums - Sony Discussion - The evolution of graphics, from PS1 to PS4

Just found this video, and I want to share with you guys.

To be honest, I missed some very beautiful PS1 games, like Crash Bandicoot 3 and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Anyway, that was very impressive to watch.

Link for the video.

Since Alex_The_Hedgehos isn't online, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNkzm2bGT-Y

Edit: Damn, he came back while I was writing this .

OT: Things have improved a lot (especially the textures), but in my opinion it's obvious that games with non realistic graphics have aged better.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I think i have seen this video. They havent shown MGS transition unlike their thumbnail is suggesting which is lame.

mean while Disgaea on PS2 until Disgaea 5 on PS4 , " put a cricket video here "

PS1 to PS2 was MASSIVE. PS2 to PS3 was HUGE. PS3 to PS4 was... subtle. Same with Xbox 360 to Xbox One. The gen gaps are shrinking way too fast. I wonder if the next gen, we'll see a huge leap or if it'll be so tiny that no one will even be able to notice the difference lol

Great to be a ps owner since day one

It is far harder to boost graphics than it used to be.
