While not a MS IP, I think Titanfall not doing well took MS by surprise. That game was suppose to be the new Halo for them, and it sort of flopped. I really don't think they intended to have to find another game like that.

Exactly how many copies did you expect Titanfall to sell?

Way the hell more than it did on Xbox One... way the hell more. IGN even said in a preview that it would literally take COD's fanbase away haha.

But I wasn't really refering to sales. I was refering to the impact of the game. It just didn't change anything and has pretty much just vanished. That's not what "the next big evolution in FPS" type of games do.

Action/ adventure, hack & slash, fighting, RPG's, sports, platforming all go handily to Sony, its not like MS hasn't made an attempt/ funded any of these genres. Halo 5 has a "Sci - Fi FPS" setting lmao its an FPS at the end of the day. It's like saying inFamous Second Son is the best superhero open world game & BloodBorne is the best Victorian era RPG & giving the nod to Sony for besting MS in those "categories." Simply a stretch.

pretty sure ninty takes more than half of the first part easily and historically.... And few of them are niche from the market share pov...

sports what sports EA and 2k control that and they are multiplat....

and halo OK it's an FPS if you want still the best easily on console..

Sony does action-adventure, hack and slash, RPG's the best.

MS does FPS, TPS the best.

Nintendo does platformers, fighting games, adventure the best.

Maybe I am just missing something obvious but what RPG does Sony do?

Or maybe you're ferring to 3rd party deals they do with people like From Software, idk.

Meanwhile the PS4's best game is from a second party studio and nothing from their first party studios is even close imo.

Infamous Second Son and Driveclub are damn good, can't think of any MS fitrst-party game on XB1 that good except Forza 6. I'm talking only about first-party here.

Yeah, pretty much only referring to Bloodborne.

As for first-party games I've played this gen, I rate them as:

XB1
Forza 6 - 8.5/10 (A great racing game)
Halo: MCC - 9/10 (A fantastic collection despite some issues at launch)
Gears Of War: UE - 7.2/10 (Hasn't aged well even with better graphics)
Rare Replay - 4.5/10 (Has aged poorly and looks terrible on the big screen)

PS4
Driveclub - 8.7/10 (A great fresh new racing game despite some issues at launch)
God Of War III Remastered - 9.4/10 (Has aged very well and gameplay and graphics are fantastic)
Infamous: Second Son - 8.1/10 (Fun game)
Killzone: Shadow Fall - 5.4/10 (A bad game)
The Order: 1886 - 6/10 ( great graphics and decent gameplay but not enough of it)

My PS4 continues to collect dust and dont see that changing any time soon. PS4 has become so boring.

This why I never owned an Xbox. Why bother if you are not a big Gears ir Halo fan? The brand offers nothing exciting and only separated itself with Live at one point.

Well you have to buy games it's a game device and not a dust device and how dirty is your room that something can collect dust? you have to clear up once in a while otherwise your console or tv can't work properly or can overheat :/
