Virion does suck, but aside from Wolt none of the others listed are a ton better. Archers...generally suck.

Really? I always have 1 archer for my party in each FE game I play.. Klein and Louise come pre-promoted so I guess you could say they aren't very good, but Wil and Wolt! They were both good in their respective games

but actually Ryan in FE12 (not counting releveling in FE13) was my best archer of all time, though since he is a kid, I don't think he fits to be a mentor pair :p

Though I do agree that archers isn't that good of a class..

Personally I wish we'd see more Tellius characters though. Alas...my dreams of seeing Mia again are dashed like rain upon my window on a mid-summer's eve...

I believe Nintendo/Atlus are keeping the characters more to the Archanea games because those are by far the most popular games in the series (both in Japan and worldwide), so it makes sense that we're seeing mostly those from Awakening and Shadow Dragon.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if we get some cameos of other characters. Just not sure any of them will be playable.

Yeah...that's a fair point. 1-3 and 11-13 seem to be more popular than the middle entries. I just have far less attachment to the characters from the original games than with Jill, Mia, Ike, etc. 

I suppose this will be one of those cases where I'll be compelled to purchase DLC, just get characters from my favorite entries. Fingers crossed they include more in the main game though.

Going by Xenoblade X and various Atlus titles, I suspect the likelihood of there being character DLC is more than likely (may even be free by the time the game comes west, like Xenoblade).

That being said though, I do think there's more than what we've seen so far. It seems that the coming months will be filled with new information regarding the game, so I'm anticipating what other characters/references they throw our way.
