Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rockstar Toronto seeking a Gameplay Designer for "asymmetrical cooperative stealth" game

- Rockstar is hiring:

and among the "Qualifications" for the job there is this part about:

"Advanced physical and digital prototyping skills to establish the pillars of the asymmetrical cooperative stealth experience required."

What is Rockstar up to? Can you speculate?

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Agent!

In a 2015 that had reveals of Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last Guardian and Shenmue 3, why not?

I mean, if you are an Agent you gotta go stealth sometimes, don't you? :P

Agent is making a return!

agent or other new IP. if agent than playstation is just being relentlessly brutal to the competition.

"Asymmetrical" is the word that's really catching my eye here, as well as 'indie games' and 'unity 4'. Sounds to me that Rockstar is thinking about smaller-scale, more experimental type games.

'Asymmetrical' could mean several things. In order of most likely:
-A game for Apple TV/Android microconsoles with phones/tablets
-A WiiU/NX game
-A PS4 game that requires the PS Vita

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I believe asymmetrical multiplayer means when players have different functions in the multiplayer game. I assume that it might be Agent, but adding a mode where there are different teams that have to achieve different objectives. A capture the flag aspect comes to my mind, but it might involve more variables and aspects.

I'm not saying Agent will be multiplayer only, but more like saying it'll include one with an asymmetrical gameplay.
