The Wii U helped me realize that I really preferred not being stuck in one place.

I would say handhelds now that Fire Emblem has seemingly migrated exclusively there.

There's the usual great Nintendo support to boot and even moreso the case that there's consistently great third party support.

I was more into my DS last gen, and now I'm more into my Wii U this gen.

I'd probably have to say DS, though.

Eeeeasily consoles. What little gaming I do these days is with my girlfriend on the sofa, in front of the TV. Something epic and atmospheric preferably. Handhelds - I own the 3DS, DS, GBA, GB, but I almost never use them. Spending too much time on my own anyway, on computer and phone.

Easily consoles. There's a great feeling I get from playing Splatoon and Smash WiiU ( among other games) that I never get from playing handheld games!
