Forums - Politics Discussion - Brazil is imploding, soon it will be a Argentina.

Argentina will never improve if we keep voting Peronistas.

Sorry, it's the truth.

The Kirchner have destroyed this country in the last 6 years, nothing will ever improve if we keep releasing rapists, thiefs and murderers all the time, if we keep supporting 40% of the country with welfare when they could be working, nothing will improve if we keep letting Peronists commit fraud on every single election, what happened in Tucuman was just something that has been happening for years but made worse due to incompetence.

People in Tucuman, Chaco, Formosa, etc dying of hunger while their "socialist lefties" politicians become millionaires.

Really, the whole culture is just way too toxic, we deserve what we get.

Unite fellow south americans with crappy governments yay haha

Seriously, here in Chile situation isnt that bad, but the government keeps making these stupid expenses on stupid stuff, making the public sector grow bigger each time with useless stuff(one can argue public sector should be big or small but the way Bachelet is handling everything is something that sucks whether you like it or not)

Seems like reforms to our public services and new tax laws have only brought bad things.

Oh, about using Argentina and Venezuela as examples of economical failures, I get a lot of that in the University, basically you get that any economical measure taken from an argentinian government is LOL worthy and an example of what should not be done.

I'm not blaming Venezuela for our short and long term problems, but hey, the toxic Chavista / 21st Century Socialism ideology originated from there.

I know you are not blaming Venezuela.

People have to understand that one thing are the citizens like us, and other thing is the politicians.

I live in Venezuela, i know from first hand how severe the situation is in my country.

Chavez was a disease that spread across the continent sadly.

I know most countrys on this continent, including Brasil and Argentina, and their situation is nowhere near like what we have here.

Nobody is talking shit about any country, just reality.

P.D. I actually bought my Ps4 in Buenos Aires LOL

P.D. 2. Wait a minute, i bought my Ps3 in Panama and my Ps2 in Miami

Long ass time ago since i buy anything here

I know that, I know Venezuelans and have friends from there. I have nothing against the Venezuelan people.

Maduro though... *cringes*

Prices in Argentina are ridiculous especially in technology. That's what you get with an incompetent president.. things are getting worse in my country too, sad to live in South America really.

Things are not that expensive here anymore.

Everybody I meet says they are in a bad time but nobody stopped to drink a lot of beer and makes/go parties yet.

The situation is not THAT bad.

BTW. The situation is way better than Argentina crysis or some EU counties for example...

Completely agree with you. People say things are bad, but nobody had to make a drastic change in his/her life. The only diference now is that U$ is worth more than it used to compared to R$.

I'd say that there is a politic crisis though, because most politicians just thing about their own interests. I see that these times could mean that the country is changing for better, that people will not accept some situations anymore and we finally have a strong sense of democracy.

Also, I'd like to say that most Brazilians just don't help to give a good image to our country. Brazilians always say everthing is worse or everthing is wrong here. I just imagine what people from other countries think that is going on here after reading such things, they must think we live in hell. Interesting that most people who come here are surprised to see that it is actually a good place. I'm not saying it's perfect, because we do have many problems, but it is not even close to beeing bad.

Yeap. I agree the political crisis exists.

Germany seems to be really popular these days.

You guys need to switch to the green economy like some states in the USA. Legalize marijuana and start selling it.  One should be able to grow hemp at the very least.

See, this is what happens when you prioritize forming a welfare state over improving infrastructure, or education.

It's funny that the Brazilian flag has "Order and Progress," but Brazil has neither at this point, which is a shame.

Education and infrastructure should be considered an integral part of a welfare state lol. They aren't two separate things :-p

What he meant to say is that investiments in ports, motorways and public transport should have a bigger share of the goverment budget. That's not really welfare. He wants his goverment to invest in the economy, instead of giving benefits to poor families.

Brazillian government is a case of exceptional control of masses. It should be studied. Sometimes it looks like the incarnation of 1989`s Big Brother, and sometimes it looks like Brave new World. Welfare State is a form of mass control, and one of the most smart ones may I say.

OP is overeating.

What he said is not the reality of the country at all.

Like any other country, Brazil have been facing some issues because of the current world crises, but it not remotely close to what happened to countries like Spain, Portugal or Greece.

Currently, Brazil's biggest problem is part of the media and some politicians that what to put an end to our democracy by not respecting the president that was democratically reelected last year.

By the way, I see a lot of prejudice against countries like Argentina and Venezuela everywhere. Oddly, most of the people believing that these countries are the worst place in the world never went there to see and understand what is really happening. Pro tip: They are just ordinary third world countries dealing with ordinary third world country issues.
