That´s because:

1. Those photos are at a higher resolution

2. Youtube compresion

But other than that it looks pretty similar.

The more I look at this game the sadder I become that we won't get a new F-Zero anytime soon..

I have been thinking for a while that Nintendo should team up with Shinen and make F-Zero for next Nintendo platform.

Its obvious that if Nintendo would develop a F-Zero game it wouldnt look like this.

F-Zero GX was very impressive and it was running at a flawless 60fps on the gamecube, in fact, F-Zero X for the N64 was already running at 60fps on 1998.

That would be a match made in heaven! I would be equally happy with an EAD developed F-Zero game though.

I have Rivals and it definitely doesn't look much better than this. It's pretty much a cross gen game. PCars is overhyped, I'm really not impressed from what I've seen, for me it looks like a cross gen game even if it's not. :P DriveClub is miles ahead of any of these games tho.

I don't think so, Wii U have some games with very good graphics, Pikmin 3, Zelda WW HD, Mario 3D World, Mario Kart, Toads Treasure Tracker, Yoshi Wolly World....and Zelda U offcourse.

One lesson is to never metion Project Cars in a Nintendo thread.

I'd put it as equivalent as the best Nintendo stuff. Very different style obviously, so hard to compare. Maybe this just inches ahead.
I don't expect the game will even come close to MK8 though.
