I agree, Driveclub rain physics is much better. This point is always being brought up makes me think that this is the only thing people enjoy Driveclub for.

Maybe Evolution Studios should make a weather simulator game.

You need to play DRIVECLUB!!!

That's what I'm saying. If the game wasn't delayed, would there even be a comparison?

Who gives a shit? Driveclub got delayed and Forza 6 took over a ton of assets from the last Forza game.

If Driveclub wasn't delayed then it'd be compared to Forza 5 graphically anyway, which would then again leave us at a point where both don't have weather (assuming DC wouldn't have added it via patch anyway).

You were saying that the delay wasn't a valid point. I was giving my point.

To me Driveclub with the weather effects is the best looking game period anywhere. Its the only game that I own that always has me amazed at how it looks everytime I play it.

I think they should have delayed it a year and then patched in the rain at a later date. And make it 30fps. Then it would look better.

Hey, don't worry. In a couple of years you'll be kindly invited by MS to fork out another $60 and maybe you'll get dynamic weather and dynamic daylight. In the meantime I'm quite sure DriveClub will see other upgrades, even for free.

All things considered i think Forza 6's weather effects look fine. Comparisons to Driveclub were obviously inevitable, but it was never going to hold up against something running at half the frame-rate and on a stronger system.

I do think it's a little disappointing that Forza 6's weather effects will only be available on a few tracks though (6 i think?).

Well the tracks that don't feature rain aren't really know for getting a lot of rain.

I was saying that the delay wasn't a valid point as a reason for the rain quality differences.

Driveclub = delayed 1 year

Forza 6 = can take tons of assets from the last Forza game on X1 as a way of shortening development time

It completely evens out.

Edit: Oh and Turn 10 is a significantly bigger studio than Evolution as well.

If you're saying it evens out then how is it not a valid point? Either both points are valid or both are invalid.

Driveclub was delayed, that's the reason they were able to get the rain in the game and make it look great.

I see what you did there. Both look good, but DriveClub looks better. Not really an excuse there. Maybe people should stop losing their minds about games not being 60 FPS. It's really not that necessary. :/

Meh, Forza games have plenty of free DLC also as a matter of fact Forza 2 was the first racing game with free DLC with the Nissan car pack.
