Majora's Mask & Super Mario 64.

Hm. To be honest, I don't often go back and play older games, at least not any more. I used to play retro games constantly, but now I rarely go back and play games from before the late PS2-era.

I would have to say that I am still incredibly impressed by how innovative Chrono Trigger was.
I think Xenogears is the only retro game that still 'gets' to me, but not because of how it holds up, but because of it's 'meta-story.' It was a game that wanted to be the best game ever, but failed because Square decided to cut off its funding. It's always something engaging to think about how the game would have turned out if it was ever really completed. Also, it's soundtrack was incredible.

Crash Bandicoot games.

Ditto

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Pokemon Red, one of the first video games I've ever played, even tried to get the BB version a few years back.

Any game for the original gameboy. They were simple enough to never be daunting but complex enough to be engaging.  Of the ones I owned

Gargoyle's Quest, TMNT Fall of the Foot Clan, Tiny Toon Adventures, Super Mario Land 1 and 2, Ninja Gaiden Shadow, and Tetris.  I loved them.

I got an Ouya and replayed Aladdin, Magical Quest, Axelay, and Super Metroid. There's more I want to play but just haven't had the time.

I also replayed Star Fox and I regret it.

Oh, oh! And Streets of Rage and Sonic 2!! And Tetris Attack!! And Soul Calibur!!

Fuck it. I'll just say every game ever.

Most nostalgic would be point ´n click games by LucasArts and Sierra. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Sam 'n Max, Day of the Tentacle, Simon the Sorcerer, Gabriel Knight, Monkey Island... but it's hard to enjoy these games nowdays. Can't even be bothered with any remakes, really :/

Age of Empires II, and that's about it.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Nostalgia's a weird thing. I was feeling really nostalgic for a bunch of Gamecube games recently so I went out and bought a whole bunch of them.

- Disney Sports Basketball was great when I was younger, I liked the feel of it. However, playing it now just makes it seem like a clunky mess.
- Cubivore was... a fantastic idea. It's like spore 8 years early. If they ever made a Cubivore 2, I would be all over that.
-Chibi Robo was amazing as always. I'm very happy they're bringing the character back in Zip-lash, but I really want a sequel to the original.
- Super Smash Bros. Melee was of course excellent (the achievements for EVERYTHING, adventure mode and Ice Climbers need to be back for the next smash.)
- Super Mario Sunshine was just as I remember, tight controls, great gameplay. Miles better than 64.
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance was great, but after playing through Fates, it seemed rather... primitive.

My biggest disappointment was probably Wario World. I remembered it being great fun. Played through it last week... Nope. Got through the first level and put it back in its case.

One game however, I found to be ageless. SSX TRICKY! Even now, almost 15 years later, it is still amazing. Tracks are excellent, characters are great. I don't want another SSX in the style of the latest one (though after Blur, that was a step in the right direction). No, if they released SSX Tricky 2 I would throw all of my money at EA (NX launch title please EA.)

Outside of GC games, I also recently played Streets of Simcity on the PC and it was fantastic. The soundtrack is absolutely incredible, so many great tracks. It is rather buggy, but a sequel is long overdue (never going to happen, but overdue nonetheless.)
