Forums - Movies & TV - Could a Kindergarten Cop 2 give Arnold the career boost He is looking for? edit : Predator 3!!!

I don't think Arnold is even it? Isn't it Dolph Lundgren and it's a straight to DVD thing, lol, so I don't expect it to be anything major.

Arnold's had a good career, whatever his movies make now is just gravy. He should've insisted on a better script for the last Terminator though.

I have always been a big fan of all of Arnold's movies, even the bad ones.

As far as T5 goes, I thought that it was pretty good.  It matched the same look and feel of T2 and T3(another under rated movie).  The story made sense and the acting(if that matters) was good from all involved.  I am only dissapointed that it was a box office failure and it is unlikely that there will be a sequel continuing this storyline.

It is near the end of the end....

Each and every Terminator movie after the 2nd just got worse and worse.

T3 is okay at best, its in no way under rated. Id actually say anyone that loved the first two, shouldnt watch the 3rd, just pretend it doesnt exsist.

Salvation was just.... >_<'

Havnt watch the new one, and honestly dont care, I ll probably watch it a few years from now on tv.

The reason I say that T3 was under rated is that most talk like it was just terrible.  Was it as good as T2?  Hell no, but it was OK or 5/6 out of 10.

I agree that Salvation was just bad...

T5 was not bad, it was better than T3 though.  The tough part for most people is the idea that an old Arnold was dipping into the Terminator well for no reason.  I myself think that any movie can have a sequel.  Whether the sequel is good(T2) or Bad(Matrix sequels) doesn't matter.  You either like them or you don't.

Back in the day, the only way most movies saw a sequel was in Book form.  Now, almost anything that makes money is going to have a sequel.  People talk like the original Terminator was so great.  Yes, it was a good movie.  It was also filled with terrible effects and terrible acting/writing.  If T2 hadn't been made, the original Terminator movie would hardly be known.

I dont think he really cares. Pushing 70 now, he doesnt need the money and its more down to fun and staying busy, than anything else. I mean look at the little cameo stuff he is doing. Two and a Half Men. WWE 2K16. My personal favourite, Compare the Market. The pranks he did as Terminator.

Guy just wants to have fun.

I think the problem is that he doesn't have the right look, nowadays, to pull off his old types of character. What he needs to do is adjust his roles to something more suiting his older, more distinguished appearance (that isn't to say he should play stuffy characters, just that he doesn't look action-hero-ish any more). Even in movies like Kindergarten Cop, he was playing a tough-guy action hero forced to look after children.

Something like his role in Junior (attitude-wise, not what happens to him) would be more feasible, adapted of course. And playing off his political experience would also be a good move.
