Not much context here. Will it fail in terms of sales? In terms of reviews/gameplay? When you say "Just like Minecraft", do you mean it is too similar to be successful? Or do you mean it will fail just like Minecraft? Which makes no sense

I really can't see it living up to the hype at this point. It'll no doubt be a success for them though. This much hype leads to sales, if not actual long term success.

It will do OK.
It's made by a small team, and Sony seems to be footing the marketing bill, so I think it doesn't need to achieve blockbuster sales to turn a profit.
But it also looks like the game is its creator's love child, and I'm sure that even a minor financial loss will not be perceived as failure.

It seems to me the OP just wanted to be sarcastic..

All I know is I want the game badly. I can see there may be a repetitive nature to it that will dim its appeal after a while of playing but it still seems like something that will be fantastic for 10s of hours before that happens and if it really gels maybe 100s of hours.

As for commercial success I see it doing respectable launch numbers and then perhaps being a steady grower. It also depends on reviews and timing though. They may release it in a dead zone like just after Christmas where people have little money and software sales drop considerably.

I think it will succeed,but far from the level of Minecraft. It's two very different games,and i doubt NMS will have that broad appeal as Minecraft has. Personally i am looking forward to the game.

Its one of my most anticipated titles. So to me it fails if I buy it and tire of it in less than 2 weeks.
