So far, I've noticed it's much better at resource management. Paging in and out of full screen games is nearly instantaneous, which is marginally better than Windows 7. I had zero issues w/ the upgrade, though learning where everything is located is the current project. All programs/drivers (except for GPU drivers) function properly with no hiccups. I use my PS3 Eye as a mic/camera, and it accepted the drivers and still functions w/ ventrilo without an issue. So yeah, all in all, I can't complain. Seems like a better option than Win 7 w/in the first couple minutes of use.
Just installed Windows 10, and I've got to say that first impressions are amazing on my five year old laptop. Everything is snappy and even rocket league is running at around 10 fps faster than it did with windows 7 ( For a smooth 40+ constant fps during gameplay ). Even the screen looks brighter and better ( Instantly noticed this from the backround picture ). Cortona on the other hand is a huge let down, the only thing I've succesfully been able to search for is tomorow's weather. Overall it's been a great experiance so far.
Downloaded 10 for my laptop and tablet two days ago and what an amazing os this is! The most natural progression from both Win 7 or 8.1. Everything feels so natural and it just works. Edge has really exceeded my expectations and I have switched it to my main browser already! El perfectomundo
For Windows, it's good. It still lags behind OSX and things like Ubuntu imo. I have had zero issues with OSX and very few with Ubuntu. I've already had issues with Windows 10. It's better than anything after XP though... at least so far.

You don't have to wait, actually. You can download the tool (32 or 64 bit depending on your computer) and choose whether or not you want it to keep your files when upgrading to Windows 10 right away.

For those who want to opt out of MS tracking services (they are tracking everything you do, basically), here is how you do it:
