Fair enough! I find that I'm looking forward a lot more than I am looking back, in terms of gaming purchases and playthroughs. Whereas last generation I played a lot of catch-up as a discount gamer, I find myself quite liking the feeling of being up-to-date. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't have as much interest in playing older games as I used to, although that may be something I'll work through. In the meantime however FF9 sits unfinished in ePSXe. Glad you enjoyed Persona 3!

I never experienced being a up to date gamer to be honest, always a catch up, I usually just jump into a gen where another already started, the PS3 was the first I got where it was still the main system, and even that was 2013, the year the PS4 was to come hahaha.
I love playing all kind of games, I'm way too much into old games now though, but I don't see a problem with it, if it's good I don't care if it's the game people are into right now or it's something people don't even talk about anymore by themselves.

A good mentality to have! I will surely find myself returning to old favorites of mine, and I still intend to play older games that other people love as well. One thing I ask; what happens when you catch up to current day games? You've blazed through a couple of gaming years in the past 6 months, so what happens when BraLod has caught up with all the classics?

Glad you enjoyed it! As many others have already said, you should play Persona 4 now. Personally, it's one of my favorite games ever. If you have a Vita, Persona 4 Golden also has some extra stuff, like more social links and new Personas.

You can also have full control of your party members in Persona 4... I hate having to rely on the AI.

I got the normal version of P4.
I can control they in both versions?

Yes, you can control your party members in both the PS2 and Vita versions. But you have to set them to "Direct Commands" when in a dungeon.

Really glad you enjoyed P3...even if I preferred 4. Drastically and criminally undervalued series, if you ask me.

Definitely agree with the story though. There's just something about it which really hits home.

It still has so many games I have to catch up, I think if that ever happen it'll be likely at least 5 years from now on, maybe 10, then I'll be most likely looking for minor things here and there between the releases that were really catching up my attention. Or get into some online game, I do that often too, even as I do with browser games :P, it can fill up a lot of time.

BraLod catching up to Minesweeper and Space Cadet Pinball? Garfield's Scary Scavenger Hunt perhaps? Solitaire? You're right, you'll be hard-pressed to catch up hahaha

Hey, Minesweeper is cool! Space Cadet Pinball was cool as well hahaha.

Hey, Pinball 3D was (still is) the best thing ever. Only reason to keep XP!

This isn't a Final fantasy game.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

You can counter Mudo and Hama spells if you have a homunculus.

I think the weakness system is fair. You can exploit it to destroy your enemies but they can use it against you too. I find it extremely engaging. It demands that you experience boss battles at least once to see their weakness and plan accordingly, that's pretty cool. In other jrpg's you can just waltz into a boss fight and win it in the first try (Final Pussy... I mean Fantasy).

Glad you got out of your FF scrubzone, now I might actually start reading these.

I'm probably one of the few that prefers Persona 3 over 4. Even though they fixed some gameplay & pacing issues in P4, I found the story and atmosphere of Persona 3 much more engaging. Plus the monthly battle scenarios were awesome. P4 was pretty repetitive in the story department but pretty funny nonetheless.
