I'm using chrome and it's been the same. But your screenshot is definitely not like how mine looks. It hasn't updated for me yet :(

ah I saw this like a few weeks ago then it went back. Thught my brownser was glitching and not loading the full player elements.

Yeah, that happened to me some months back I think, it was like I had a preview of this new player look. Really weird.

That's definitely a new player. I use Safari though. Neat.

I don't have the new player but judging by the screenshots here, I don't like the new one. It puts part of the video under the controls, effectively hiding them somewhat. It looks better but is inferior in its functionality and usability.
