I just picked up Lost Odyssey for the Xbox 360 and i wanted to know if this game is any good for an JRPG? I heard its a great game in Japan and i dont mind JRPGs. Just wanted to read some gamers thoughts and there opinions on it.

Does anyone know if theres a petition to bring this to the X1's BC list?

Does anyone know if there might be a sequal in the works?

I want Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon.

Many rpgholics I follow on youtube call Lost Odyssey (and/or Xenoblade) the best jrpg of last generation. It's made by Sakaguchi (the creator of Final Fantasy) so you shouldn't take it lightly. It has an old school style of gameplay with it's turnbased combat.

Best jrpg of the 7th gen, IMO.

It's pretty much a PS1 era Final Fantasy in all but name with 360 graphics.

Yes. The game is on 4 discs which is at present is an issue with XBO BC, but Phil Spencer said that this and Blue Dragon will be there when its resolved.

It's very unlikely. It's been 8 years. The game was good and sold OK. But it was largely Microsoft just used it as a motivator to Square Enix to demonstrate the JRPG genre would sell on Xbox 360 to get Final Fantasy across.

Dude... take it from a guy that kinda finds jrpgs lame that Los Odyssey is freaking awesome. I was awed by it, got to play it without really choosing to do so and i couldnt believe a game of the kind could be so pretty and good.

If that was on any other console everyone would tell you the same cause it would have a bigger crowd and such. Media dont favor those titles on the xbox. Its the console kind of racism... and i hate racism x.x

Btw i never finished it cause i had to give it back halfways so getting it on xbox one in any way would be brilliant! Thanks for the reminder and hope you find my comment interesting cause i have only liked a couple of FF games from the whole genre. I tend to find them childish, repetitive and boring. Not LO...

lost odyssey is my all-time favorite jrpg ever, I explained countless times in my rpg thread of my love for this game. I own every version of game, from the Japanese retail game to the European version, unopened as well.

Best 360 game for me.

LO is one of the best RPG I've played on 360. I heard that it did OK in Japan but not good enough to warrant a sequel.

Not sure about BC for X1 though.

I remember saw the petition for the sequel but I dunno when.....could be long time ago.

PS: X1 games little by little caught my interest with halo 5, Recore, Gears 4 and Scalebound. If they announce Lost Odyssey 2 too then I'll buy X1 right away!!

It is the best jrpg on the 360, third best for the gen (xenoblade and last story are 1 and 2). Solid game, interesting story, addicting gameplay, but it does have some very annoying characters and lackluster voice acting...
