Xbone starting to track below PS3... thanks.

For some reason I can't see the pics posted on photobucked on GAF.

Can we surmise that they shipped a lot of AC bundles?

Glad to see/potentially that the surface is doing better, it's a nice little machine.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

Your financial reports are trash MS, you can tell hardly anything worthwile about Xbox

Shipped means nothing to me.

Lol really? Absolutely nothing? Because that's all you're gonna get in a financial report.

The numbers don't mean anything, not because "that's all you're gonna get". They don't matter becase MS has been overshipping since launch (remember the whole 3.9M sold vs shipped debacle Greenberg was pinning? Or how Day 1 edition XBOnes were available like 8 months after launch? Or how AC bundles are available to this day?). Not until they make a "we've sold X amount to the consumer" announcement so we can gauge the disparity between how much they've shipped and how many people are buying XBOnes, will their shipment numbers matter.

22.6 million Xbox consoles (Xbone & 360) shipped since the release of Xbox One over 7 quarters.

PS4, 22.3 million shipped in 6 quarters and this quarters results on 30th July.

Shipped is sold to retailers, retailers will not buy consoles they are not selling and considering the size of some retailers they can easily return stock and get there money back.

They're overshipping yet stores keep ordering more?

I do really wish their results would be more informative, but I understand that they have to keep PR up. That said, it seems like we can never get solid numbers, because their results are always masked by at least two levels of vagueness.

In any case, let's try to dissect the numbers. I think 50,000 shipments of the Xbox 360 is a decent minimum, and 150,000 is a decent maximum, so... that gives us an Xbox One shipment between 1.25 million and 1.35 million.

If there was anyway we could get some solid sell-through numbers, then we could get a rough approximation of their sell-through rate. I will wait until we get the post-NPD adjustments, and then make a rough estimation based on that. I don't think it's a crazy assertion to say that the Xbox One's sell through rate is significantly lower than the PS4's, though.

Really wish they split the platforms up. XB1 shipments could have doubled, or might have only increased marginally depending on how much xbox 360 sales dropped.

I know its shipped and not sold but comparing VGChartz Xbox 360 sales for april,May,June in 2014 vs 2015 is approx 435k vs 150k gives us a 285k difference.

Last year april-june would of been something like 500k 360's vs 600k X1 = 1.1M shipped

So going on the data you would expect 2015 same period to be something like 200k 360's vs 1.2M X1 = 1.4M shipped.

I think the holidays are going to impress. I think they have rebranded nicely and have a blockbuster line up.
