Nintendo was at E3?

Around the Network

the thing i find odd about this is that sony didnt talk about any games for 2015. all their announcements were 2016 and beyond. what games do they have coming at the end of this year? yes, they dropped big bombs, but when are these bombs supposed to even come out? and we dont even know if one of them (shemue) will ever see the light of day.

I thought the whole reason why people were pissed at Nintendo is because they didn't have enough games beyond 2015. Also, Shenmue III has passed $2,000,000, so I think that it's guaranteed to see the light of day.

I'm amazed at Microsoft's %. It's way too high.

Really? Until Sony's conference people were saying, "How is Sony going to top backwards compatibility?". And I imagine a decent number of people think [sort of] b/c now > announcing games with uncertain/unknown release dates.

What's the point of spending press conference time on what is already known? Clearly Sony had nothing new for 2015 to announce. Clearly what is in the pipeline for 2015 will keep PS4 selling well, and while they may have wanted a headline exclusive to lead the way in the 2015 holiday period they clearly do not. So E3 is about announcing new and exciting things, which is what Sony did.

This was no surprise, frankly. And I totally agree with the results. I am surprised on Nintendo having 15% on the conference.

I was looking for the picture a forum member here on Vgcharts posted, that showed all the upcomeing titles for the PS4 in 2015... but couldnt find it.

This isnt nearly as good, but it shows abit of whats comeing in 2015 (the exclusives anyways):

*edit: supposedly missing Tales of Zestiria, on the list, should be out October 2015.

Is anyone really surprised by the votes?
I think the votes outcome fit the general consensus, atleast amoung these gameing forums.

Depends where you're going, I have in the last week or so on reddit twice seen someone say "that is literally the first time I've heard someone say Sony won E3" after someone said they did.

I was in the post-conference PS4 E3 thread and let me tell you: it was a shithole. Nothing but hate on Sony's conference, and anyone that said "omg I can't believe that FFVII is real!" or "Shenmue 3! It's a fantasy become reality! I'm so glad it was revealed!"....you got downvoted. Seriously? The two biggest megatons in the last decade, announced for PS4, and your excitement for them gets you downvotes? In the PS4 subreddit?

I came to the conclusion that the sub was raided by /r/XboxOne. Comments that went to the top were "Sony sucked" or "Xbox announced BC and that's better than everything". In a PS4 sub, the visibility of those comments was utter bullshit. /r/XboxOne, despite it's smaller community has been very petty in the past. Positive Xbox comments in any other thread in /r/PS4 would get upvotes, while positive PS4 comments in any other thread /r/XboxOne will get you downvoted, so you can see their tendencies.

So, when you see someone say "this is the first time I've heard someone say Sony won"....it's literally because it was their first time, because all the comments saying Sony won, right after E3 were downvoted. Positive comments for FFVII, Horizon, Shenmue 3, and Uncharted 4 were downvoted. But now that the E3 furor is over, if you mention something positive about Sony's E3 or FFVII, for example, you'll get a response like "that's what I was thinking. So why was Sony getting shat on, here, after E3". Now that /r/XboxOne subscribers aren't flooding the PS4 sub, you'll see people saying Sony won.

This sounds really conspiracy-ish, but there's no other explanation. You don't have a community of people who have waited 10 years for the FFVII remake, then have comments showing excitement for it getting buried. But, you see, the difference between /r/PS4 and /r/XboxOne is that you have to be a subscriber to downvote in /r/XboxOne, while you don't for /r/PS4. Sure, it's just the click of a button, when you can just come in and downvote everything in one sub and have to take the extra step to do the same in another sub, it's kinda like typing out a long comment then right before you hit "enter" you delete it because you think to yourself "eh, I don't really care". That's what it's like, sometimes, going to a sub where you can't downvote unless you subscribe: eh, I don't care to go the extra step just to do something here. In /r/PS4, there is no extra step.

It's also missing Sword Art Online: Lost Song.

Seriously.

It keeps being shown that PS4 has multiple games coming out, but somehow it keeps being repeated that they have nothing. XBOne had nothing all year and then has a few in the last few months. PS4 has had games coming all year. Stop discounting Jan-October just so you can say "Sony has nothing while MS has Games X,Y,Z for the holiday". PS4 had games A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R,X,T,U,V,W before the holiday.
