Above the table it says 8 million, it's poorly worded but they mean both versions, so in essence Dark Souls sold 5 million copies (niche my ass)

Is Dark Souls with Artorias of the abyss like a GOTY edition cause I've never seen it before, figured it was the game with the DLC sales included.

I'm slightly confused about the breakdown. So Artorias is the PC release and console GOTY edition and is counted separately from the original console release? Amazing sales and totally deserving.

You're counting the 2nd column.  I can't read japanese, so what's in the 1st column?

Also, that 2nd column doesn't seem to include the Demon Soul sale total.  According to VGChartz is around 1.75 million

Yeah that's right. Artorias of the Abyss is the DLC and the edition they mean here is the one that includes that, which at least in the west is called the Prepare to die edition so I'm not sure why they didn't use that name.

Demon's Souls isn't counted at all, this is only Dark Souls I & II (and their GOTY Editions), the first column are sales in Japan.
