Forums - Movies & TV - Breaking Bad + Better Call Saul - Mr. White in BetterCallSaul?

Yeah, pretty great - I love the story and pacing, and Saul's 'origin' story is fascinating.

My thoughts:

Poor start.... however near the end of the season, I was getting it, where the show was going and I enjoyed it.

If they cancel it after walking us through the muddy start it had... well that ll have me chalk it down to a waste of time.

It feels like one of those stories that ll take time to build up and be enjoyable.

Its not as great as Breaking bad was, that sucker gripped you by the balls as soon as you saw the first episode, and owned you.

This one started off really slow, and rideing on the success that was breaking bad, or it would never have survived the first season.

The story ends on a high note though, by the end of it your left wanting more Better Call Saul.

I really enjoyed it. It's different but it's very well written and any breaking bad fan should see it.

I am Iron Man

Nice! I loved that series. It is currently my favorite new show. I too was expecting way less from the show but became a nice story of Saul and his brother and how he becomes who we see later on in Breaking Bad.

To guys fans of Breaking Bad on the fence on watching this series I say, you must watch it. Literally, there is something very interesting that you must watch SPOILER!!! AHEAD!!!!

The beginning of the Better Call Saul episode 1 takes place after Breaking Bad! The possibilities are limitless for this series. And when you watch it you will feel in Breaking Bad's world, I won't say more.

I too was expecting way less from the series. I thought it would be a "case of the day" series about a new trial case each day but no, the series tells a story that develops and goes somewhere, like Breaking Bad.

There  is one scene I didn't like much though, I think it was from episode two. I didn't like a little how they wrote the way Tuco was convinced to let the kids and Saul go after he held them with intention of killing them in the desert. In that desert the easiest and safest solution would have been to kill them all and I think it should have taken a lot more from Saul to convince Tuco to let them go. They should have written a better scene with more cleverness from Saul to talk his way out of that situation. I think it felt too convinient and made Tuco look too easy to convince.

But that aside I loved the series. It feels very paused and with no rush of getting where it is going.

I hope the series keeps the quality next season, can't wait.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

yeah it's pretty good. Will watch more. Had a slow start but went more intereting quickly.

Loved it. The thing that I really like though is Mike's backstory. It really brought depth to one of my favorite characters in Breaking Bad. Just for that alone, I recommend BCS. Plus its great to watch Saul flip out.

Yes I'm watching it but still have a couple episodes on DVR. I really like it.

It's equal quality in my opinion and though sometimes slow, which is the case for a lot of series actually, including BB, it is one of the best I've ever seen.

Absolutely. It's starting off good, can't wait to see what Vince Gilligan has in store for Season 2.
