Forums - Movies & TV - Thoughts on Game of Thrones season 5 finale? (Spoilers up to season 5)

Seeing The Last Guardian alive and well in Sony's e3 gives me hope on the fate of Mr. John Snow.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

If Half-Life 3 shows up this year, Ned Stark will come back in season 6 as well.

Moment been waiting for since book 5 came out. I agree with others that Jon's fate is 50/50.

Tricky part will be having the actor back for another season will spoil the surprise for many in that regard.

I loved every bit of it! Cersei's Walk of Atonement was such a pain to watch, but Lena Headey is such an amazing actress. Did you know that they replaced her body with a body double because she is pregnant and all covered with tattoos? Never even fucking noticed the thing.

Yeah, Jon has to be revived. He is the last link the show had on westeros. Without him its just Dany's story on the other side of the world. There will be nothing of interest in Westeros besides the bad guys trying to back stab each other some more.

I was sure endgame would be John Snow and Daenerys against the army of the dead. John's supposed death has me questioning my theory even if he was brought back to life I don't know if the last season I had in mind would be on the table anymore. I also expected Stannis to be in power when Daenerys made her move on Westeros, as he didn't actually die on screen perhaps this will still be the case.

Episode 10 wasn't that great honestly, I did not enjoy the "walk of shame" scene.

I can't see Jon not being revived. His story is unfinished, and he carries a large part of the overarching story. To kill him off now would be the same as killing Daenerys now. Or Bran. It doesn't make sense.

I also feel that Stannis survived. Brienne just struck the tree. Has there been a single confirmed death not shown yet in GoT?

So Ned Stark is not coming back in Season 6. xD

You guys I would really love to come here and talk to you guys about Game of Thrones and read what you guys share but I am too concerned for book spoilers (even though I understand the series have deviated from them a lot by now) so I can't be reading posts in here just hoping none of you guys spill the beans on what is about to happen.

Cheers, hope to talk to you guys about all things GOT one day once the film finale hits Blu-ray.

Winter Came and the North remembers. :) Looking forward for next season. Until then, I'll watch me some Vikings season 3. :D

The show is basically caught up to the books now, and Stannis' TV story actually spoiled book readers. It's not 100% safe, I guess, but it's in the 90's.

Correct me if I am wrong but I recall reading that the series would fill what Mr. Martin has not written yet with the writers own ideas. I suppose that anything that isn't in the books and that is shown in the show must be like a separate reality that has nothing to do with what will eventually happen in the books.

Or is George R.R. Martin writing for the show?
