Saw these numbers on ResetEra.

Sales:
176 million - mid of May 2019
154 million - end of September 2018
144 million - mid of January 2018
122 million - end of February 2017

MAU:
91 million - end of September 2018
74 million - mid of January 2018
55 million - end of February 2017

F2P China Version:
200 million - mid of May 2019
150 million - end of October 2018
100 million - mid of May 2018

- Released in 2009, purchased by Microsoft in 2014 at 60 million sales.

- Now at 176 million sales in 2019, in 4 months Minecraft will have been under Microsoft longer than it was independently owned.

- Which means in 5 years it did 60 million under Mojang, under Microsoft in 5 years it's done 116 million.

How much left is there to cover the 2 billion Microsoft spent on this franchise? I wonder how much Microsoft got it's money back currently ah?

They got it all back, +110 million sales alone + education version and Chinese free to play version + merchandise + other minecraft related games + the DLC/mash packs and monthly realms that cost 5$ for a month and has milllions of subscribers.

Wow. I remember the reaction to the purchase back in the day. It was supposed to be the worst purchase in gaming history. Look at what Microsoft have turned Minecraft into....

Now the AR Minecraft is coming, it's not going to slow down either. No wonder some of the executives at Microsoft get paid the big bucks.

Klob talking about the FH4 Expansion.

Spoiler!
Biggest FH expansion yet, "almost like a new game", from what I know based on a globally-known IP, can't verify though.

Why UK ip? I know it takes place there but hot wheels has nothing to do with Australia.

I forgot about hot wheels. They could take this expansion anywhere.

I feel like I am going to be really disappointed with whatever studio/s MS is going to announce at E3, looks like none will be Ninja Theory or Obsidian level studios.

I just don't see how the partnership benefits MS. Sure they get some money in the short term, but how does it benefit them in the long term? In the upcoming streaming service war between Google Stadia, MS xCloud, and PS Now, Sony basically wasn't even a true contender due to poor server coverage and dated technology compared to Stadia and xCloud. How does it benefit MS in the true battle against Google, to give the 3rd place contender a major leg up? xCloud was not far enough behind Stadia in terms of technology for this partnership to benefit MS in any way from what I can see, in fact statements from the xCloud team suggested that xCloud had the advantage against Stadia, using less than half the data as Stadia, which would have given them a big advantage since many ISP's have small data caps. It just feels to me like Sony is using MS and MS is getting nothing worthwhile in return.

You are looking at it the wrong way.  MS is a big competitor to my company but they are also one of our biggest vendors.  Its crazy how business works.  We directly compete against MS but we also used primarily their software. Not only that we have a partnership with MS to sell Biztalk as one of our integration platforms all the while we use that very same software to gain advantage over MS and the software that we compete with. Its the nature of MS that they are in so many different markets that they would also compete and help their competitors.

For MS, Sony will be a huge company that will help sell Azure to other clients and increase their Cloud initiative. Sony will provide the needed tech for MS for their consumer based productions allowing them to compete better with Google, Apple and probably even Sony in that area.  Each company understand where they compete but also understand where they can leverage each company strengths to make both better.  Who knows, maybe Sony, MS and Nintendo will combined Like Earth, Wind and Fire to become Captain Planet and produce one console to rule them all.

There's also factors like AMD. MS is working with and using AMD hardware much more recently, especially when it comes to Azure. If XB is going to push for cloud gaming, it makes a tonne of sense to be working with AMD on XB hardware and Azure hardware. Since PS also uses AMD hardware in their consoles now and will next gen as well, using Azure makes just as much sense for them in that aspect. The more they all help each other and work together the more they win overall. This very well will strengthen the relationship between MS and AMD, which has it's advantages. That doesn't stop PS and XB from competing though.

Topgear? Though I hope not since the show has been trash after Jeremy Clarkson and the others left.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
