I do find it baffling that they didn't show the multiplayer at E3, especially after they hyped it up in the past. Hopefully it's not in bad shape and they just decided to save it for a Gamescom conference.

Especially when you consider what the singleplayer isn't....some grand, epic story, with compelling characters, etc.

No, it's just a less cool version of the multiplayer. Instead of jumping around destroying all the things, you jump around destroying a limited assortment of things. That's literally all Crackdown has ever been. Jump around and blow shit up. All they did at E3 was show off what Crackdown has always been. And it didn't even look nice graphically. Hell Crackdown 1 looked more aesthetically pleasing if you ask me. I saw like no color in Crackdown 3 at E3. So ya....big whoop. Game is gonna get slaughtered.

I think Crackdown's success will depend on how good it's multiplayer is.

You mean the multiplayer, the premise of which was the original selling point for this game, that they didn't care to demo, or otherwise show off in any way at this E3? Oh ya......I bet it'll be great

Exactly. They spent so much time talking about how awesome the multiplayer is at the beginning and now they hardly mention it. If it turns out it's nothing special than it's failure is guaranteed.

They have enough time in August at Gamescom to show off the games releasing this fall.

Help get this ot 1k retweets.

New AoE? It's been long overdue. I miss Ensemble Studios.

since I'm also bored at work, I will help and add some more:

Ryse - 32.52% (GwG!)
Rise of the Tomb Raider - 35.65%
Need For Speed - 5.43% (pretty hard though)
Mirror's Edge Catalyst - 9.48%
Mass Effect Andromeda - 24.22%
Battlefield Hardline - 23.34%
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered - 11.71%
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare - 5.37%
Final Fantasy XV - 27.79%
Sniper Elite 3 - 18.44%
Far Cry 4 - 28.18%
Deus Ex Human Revolution - 27.62%
Doom - 21.62%
Batman Arkham Knight - 37.15%
Sunset Overdrive - 18.89%
Watch Dogs - 17.57%
Metro Last Light - 9.88% (Survival); 11.61% (Spartan)

Thats pretty high for Andromeda, especially given all the flak it copped and how big the main story is. Far better game than it was ever given credit for.

Studio Gobo:

Studio Gobo is looking for passionate, dynamic and enthusiastic Graduate Programmers (or juniors) to join their team in Brighton. Most recently we worked on Disney Infinity and we’re now focused on another very high-profile console game, which will be announced in the coming months.

Again, doesn't mean Microsoft's game as they also have a partnership with Ubisoft but....it could be and if it is then maybe a reveal at Gamescom? I think Microsoft will have a Gamescom conference this year.

Crackdown Multiplayer, Sea of Thieves Progression System (Confirmed for Gamescom), Studio Gobo (Possible), ReCore DE (Likely), Age of Empires Related Announcement at Gamescom (Confirmed), Gameplay for already announced games and possibly some other new things.

I just hope that MS got the AAA game from them.

I don't think Crackdown is even expected to sell millions of copies. It does look good though, that E3 trailer didn't do it justice. And Terry Crews is such a badass!

Totally agree. At least if we talk about physical sales. It can possibly sell more than million copies including digital. But I don't see physical sales exceed 1 million mark.

Tbh, I don't think a game like Lucky's Tale would sell well on Xbox regardless of when it releases. The audience for it just isn't there. After all, as you said, the genre isn't exactly well represented on Xbox....so wouldn't the fans of that style of game come out and buy it regardless of release date? I mean surely they'd be ecstatic to get such a platformer (if it's quality) regardless of the timing if they're so starved for it.

The truth is, it's a niche game. With the Xbox crowd at the very least. It'll sell what it sells, to those who care, and everyone else would ignore it no matter when it drops. Maybe give it a second glance in the bargain bin, if that.

No. Crackdown is the game that's likely to be murdered in this launch window, not Lucky. Lucky will do whatever it does, and it will more or less be it's ceiling on Xbox. Crackdown will be the $60 AAA game that just fades into the crowd of the holiday AAA onslaught, and largely forgotten.

Unfortunately you are right. It seems that Xbox crowd doesn't care about such type of games. But personally for me Super Lucky's Tale is the only first-party game I'm interested in except Ori which release date is unknown at the moment
