My grandpa who knows a guy who works at Amazon told me that Amazon is buying both PlayStation and Nintendo.

Sweet. Ask your grandpa if Amazon is planning on reviving The Last Guardian.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

If this happens then I guess the Xbone would finally have one game I would really like to play.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

What more then likely makes it untrue is MS spending billions to acquire the IP unless that is a couple of billions of Yens at most the IP is worth maybe $200 million but MS is know for overpaying for stuff they sure did it with Minecraft.

This Rumor is pure BS but I love the fact that it's pissing people off lol

He says that it'll be revived as a 2D action platformer for the Kindle.

Rumours be rumours, but this ranks amongst the most ridiculous out there. Billions of dollars for a dormant small franchise in a struggling company? It makes literally no sense whatsoever.

The whole article reads of a sensationalist writer trying to get some hits to meet his quota, so he threw a series of words and numbers together with little concern about how believable it is. Now, I'll look pretty stupid if this ends up being true and that's fine. But, I don't think I need to worry about that.

That's the impression I got from reading this article. Maybe Microsoft really did negotiate with Konami to purchase the rights for the canceled game or the whole franchise, but a billion dollars is an utterly ridiculous number for a franchise like Silent Hill.

It would be funny if this rumor turned out to be true and Konami asked for a billion dollars to passively reject this deal.

.- -... -.-. -..

MS has the money. They should do it!

The great thing about Silent Hills was Kojima/Del Toro/Reedus. Nobody expects Konami to do something worthy without them (one more horror game without interest).
MS could have exclusivity for the next Silent Hill game, but what's the point when the 3 men behind PT are gone? And for billions? It would be a PR hell after TR for what will surely be a disappointing game (it would be hard for Kojima and Del Toro to meet the expectations after PT, without them...).

(And only idiots would believe the 80% part, the game wasn't in production a few weeks ago)

just for Silent Hill, the amount is ridiculous. But for SH+Kojima+Del Toro = Plausible.

Yep. Too bad they're both gone from Konami now. Next rumor : Kojima is now a MS employee with  a billion dollars a year salary!
