You mean gamers on the PS4, not anyone else outside of that box, so yeah good for one portion of the market, terrible for the rest.

OT: Grats I guess, not like the 3DS will get continuously hammed up every few weeks to months like this will and has been for a while now, I wish this gen ws more like last where things were close and tight, everyone was practically a winner last gen instead of this gen where there's only one clear winner and two losers, the winners are the only party who get all the perks and benefits while the losers get zip.

You answered the question. Good for some, bad for others, but it matters for everyone.

If we have more and more ps4 exclusives (and that will surely happen), Xbox fans will have to take a look at these numbers to understand why. So yeah, it's an important enough milestone to talk about.

To be fair, given the VGC's margin of error the Wii could have reached 50% at some point.

ok, about 65%, but not 100% of the handhelds.

The main point here those is some people only have a handheld as they only buy one console (I have a friend like this who buy which ever console appeals most regardless if it is handheld or home console). So Sony, Nintendo (assuming that some people also just have a Vita) and Microsoft is still competing against them when it comes to consoles so really, overall, it is a pseudo marketshare when you only take one group into consideration.
