This is interesting indeed, I am even more interested to see if Sony continue to push ahead or if MS close the gap. Even more interesting would be if Nintendo's rumored console puts a big enough dent in MS/Sony.

As a Wii U and PS4 owner I must ask why? It doesn't deserve it. I like my PS4 but it really doesn't offer much yet. Wii U is kicking ass in exclusives. Wii U deserves double the sales it gets.

Just because something sells well doesn't always mean it is better than the competition. Many people buy products over others, be it smartphones, cars, televisions etc and it isn't always because they are 'better'. A lot of it is to do with price, marketing, availability, recommendaitons, reviews etc.

Bolded the important part. PS4 has all the biggest games. People don't care if they're exclusive or not. While WiiU is getting 1-2 games per month at most, PS4 is getting multiple games per week.

But why do you own a PS4 if WiiU us kicking its ass in exclusives? I'll immediately answer: because you want to.play something other than WiiU exclusives.

And since there are people who don't care or like WiiU exclusives, they simply buy a PS4. And presto --- PS4 oursells the competition....and it deserves every single sale of those 22.7 million.

I don't think the market share will go up much more as a lot of people have choose there 1st console and you will get bunch of PS4 owners grab a x1 or WiU for the exclusives on other platforms.
